@sandra LoSasso, I agree 💯 with you .. when everyone in the family pitches in, gives their support, and comes together to help do what needs to be done for the betterment of the family as a whole, it makes everything seem so much more controlled. I remember reading something in a magazine article that said if everyone in the household went into one room in the home together - say the living room - putting away things that were strewn about, dusting, vacuuming, fluffing couch pillows .. together, they would only need to spend 10 minutes in there and the job would be done. Team work!
Your kids help without being told, because of how you and your husband are raising them. Children are pure, innocent and good, but must be taught right and wrong and your are doing a WONDERFUL JOB

Ahh, cleaning out the stray crumbs that somehow found their way into the kitchen drawers .. I need to do that soon, too. You gave me the inspiration I need, Sonya. I love how it looks afterwards, only wish it could stay that way. I was just telling my husband recently that if I really take a measured count, I'm sure that I must spend half of my awake time every day in the kitchen: either cooking, loading and unloading the dishwasher, sweeping and/or mopping the floor, or performing some kind of kitchen duty. The kitchen is definitely the 💜 of the 🏠

Unfortunately, I can't help you with any baking recipes. I have never been a baking person. Once upon a time I had a recipe for chocolate cake made with black beans. I have lost that recipe. quinoa I make salads and other dishes.

I really enjoyed seeing the process you go through to prepare your home. It's funny that even though I am not Jewish I seem to do do many of the same things you do before the holidays I celebrate as far as the cleaning, shopping and prepping goes. I did have a question: If by chance you come across an area where you find some crumbs etc that should have been cleaned but you missed it, is there a blessing, a ritual or something that you do if it's during the actual holiday period? I love watching all your videos you are truly amazing and using a lot of your recipes. When I was a kid my Aunt use to get her home ready for Passover and taught me how to polish the silver , clean all the crystal and all the plate sets. Watching this video brought back lots of memories sadly my aunt passed away many years ago, my mom is in a nursing home with dementia and my dad passed away 8 months ago so this holiday is a sad one .

This time everyone is staying and sleeping over my house for the Seders and Shabbat. Everyone pitches in and brings food as well as cooks with me during their stay.
Yes I absolutely love watching your channel on how you prep for Holidays, Shabbat and all other occasions as they arise. Amazing family especially these days you all help each other and you are all there for each other. I literally love watching it brings to me happy tears to see that it still exists.
As a Christian orthodox, we have the same tradition we clean the house, the thing that we don't need, we have to have something new to wear the Passover.
Homes would literally GO TO S$&T without us hard working women..you think a straight dude is gonna think of doing this? We’re lucky if they get ONE SOCK in the hamper!!
Watching this at 12:45 AM (yawn), off to scrub the counters. Right now with teenaged girls on Pesach vacation, our days and nights are a bit mixed up! Chag kasher v'sameach!
Some of this food we can't eat because of kitnios. I have to make my own goodies as I'm allergic to potato starch and preservatives...I use a very old cookbook to make Pesach cakes and stuff, in the days when the dinosaurs roamed, when people made there own food without mixes. You are so organized Sonya, that's great 😍. My husband helped me switch, thank G-d or by the time I'd have switched I wouldn't have time to cook.

I went into labor with my second daughter on Passover Family Dinner, not a Sedar. I was helping put food on the table and I got such a very strong contraction I went to sit my belly was high, I stood up after dinner and I dropped a lot, Brooke was born 9:30 in the morning!!

I live in Strasbourg France and it's hard to find all theses products kosher for Passover. I can get meat and matsot and fresh produce. I stay away from the snacks. The everyday products are unavailable here. The specialized stores are limited as well and very expensive! Your videos are inspiring and helpful. Happy healthy Passover to you and your family.
You learn something new every day, I never knew what horse radish was from. In Mexico they use horse radish sauce instead of mayo for spice. I need to deep clean, quarterly inspections are April 12th. I'm not Jewish.
Inspections used to be every month, now they are every 4 months. I'm going to make rice crispy treats sometime. We always color Easter eggs and make deviled eggs. We are very secular though, I'm Christian, but my sister is not.
Would you be willing to put a cookbook together? A fellow from Venezuela it turns out his mother is a Sephardic Jewish woman. He apparently was not raised in a religious house or with much other than the food... We talk about food frequently. So if you can mix a bit of frum with food that would be the the bomb! Its a great way to teach the faith. I see many happy watchers loving it!

I live in Strasbourg France and it's hard to find all theses products kosher for Passover. I can get meat and matsot and fresh produce. I stay away from the snacks. The everyday products are unavailable here. The specialized stores are limited as well and very expensive! Your videos are inspiring and helpful. Happy healthy Passover to you and your family.
You learn something new every day, I never knew what horse radish was from. In Mexico they use horse radish sauce instead of mayo for spice. I need to deep clean, quarterly inspections are April 12th. I'm not Jewish.

Inspections used to be every month, now they are every 4 months. I'm going to make rice crispy treats sometime. We always color Easter eggs and make deviled eggs. We are very secular though, I'm Christian, but my sister is not.

He apparently was not raised in a religious house or with much other than the food... We talk about food frequently. So if you can mix a bit of frum with food that would be the the bomb!
