I purchased two at The Urban Farmer Store in San Francisco. They were easy to install by removing a section of downspout and works as a rain head, first flush and diverter. When the barrels are full, I simply switch the diverter and the downspout discharges exactly where it did before.

Thank you , you answered some perfectly good questions. Now I would like to know if it will hold up in the winter and where I can find it, plus the cost?

A device that requires a manual switch to be applied will not be used for long.
First flush devices are 100% ineffective when it comes to water quality and at best might be useful for diverting the large debris.

Diversion still have to be done MANUALLY...with that "knob"...Once the TANK ( last part ) is fully filled...you need to " adjust" that knob..Well, having a TANK, placed on an open ground, would be simpler, isn't it ?
