We made Fante Fante with Fresh Fish from Cape Coast | A.k.a Fisherman stewI Ntitii Recipe

  • One of the things I really wanted to do when I visited cape coast was to cook a local meal. So I am happy that I could make that happen with my dear friend Mandy. We started the day by going to the Abura market to get Avocado and Kenkey and then proceeded to the Elmina fish market to get fresh fish for our recipe.
    We added a little bit of twist to the recipe. Traditionally, its made with palm oil ut we decided to use vegetable il. It also has no vegetables so that was a personal preference.
    It came out so well and I really enjoyed the pairing with kenkey and the avocado. It is definitely something I would make again.
    here are the ingredients we used in the recipe
    - Grouper fish
    - All-purpose Seasoning ( A mix of rosemary, calabash nutmeg, fennel seeds, bay leaves, coriander seeds, and black peppercorn)
    - Tomato paste
    - pepper powder
    - Flour
    - onions
    - Garlic
    - tomatoes
    - shrimp powder
    - fish powder
    - basil
    - vegetable oil
    - Vegetables of choice ( optional)
