It was the fact that he didn't pull the stock into his his shoulder firmly and lean into it that it jumped back and bit him. That's literally what eye relief on a variable zoom scope is(ie distance needed for a clear picture; the greater the zoom the less eye relief normally ). It's not like a red dot 1x sight where distance away doesn't matter; if you're not close enough then the picture won't come into focus.

I think the US government should divert some funding from agriculture to hunting these invasive hogs. Set up a whole operation where they hire hunters to work in shifts, and partner with some corporations to process and transport the meat. At least it would spare some of the tortured pigs that are forced to live in their own shit

The fact you only had a couple practice shots then had the added stress of getting split open by the scope yet you successfully dropped two hogs your first time out is actually quite the accomplishment. Most people blow it their first time out. Way to go broke

Yeah they completely decimate crops and it's pretty much open season on them (compared to other game where you have bag limits of X per season) They will straight up destroy an entire crop, as you saw.
