The kids got us a small electric cooler when we were camping and you can even get a cord that goes into the cigarette lighter you could plug it in when going shopping and even if it does not get to freezing. At least it would be colder than the air
The secret to defrosting frozen cheese is to thaw it on the counter. If you take it from freezer to fridge it changers the texture. Try that before you throw it out.
Just under $30 at the supermarket isn't bad. My goal is always to try & get out of the supermarket without spending over $30 -- rarely happens nowadays.
I'd be contacting the gentleman that helped you prior to come out again. Have you considered on demand tankless hot water heater. Just some thoughts on the situation. ☮️💜
