I hope you enjoy this soft spoken video unboxing this Ladurée set from Sylvanian Families (that's Calico Critters for us North Americans!) with tiny pastries, macarons, teacups and saucers too! I'm fascinated by miniatures, there's something so delicate and interesting about them.

I was like “wow her French pronunciation is so nice!” And then remembered you’re from Canada and it made sense
I had to rewind it just to hear her say it again. Also as an Australian I'm not even doing a good job of pronouncing the anglo version, I've been calling it "lad-u-ree" this entire time rather than "la-du-rae" 😅 thank goodness I've never been to France, I'm sure I'd be laughed out of the country. Lmao.
As a French person, I had trouble understanding what she said when she spoke French 😅

aww I used to love these when I was a kid but only had money to afford the dolls separately, I saw a video about them on Goodnight Moon's channel months ago and it was very satisfying to watch, I'm sure I'll feel the same about this video
My family didn't have much money since only my mum worked for a while then my dad left for ages but I had two sylvanian families dolls,the rabbit and the cat and somehow they've both gone missing since.
Yes, they were a huge part of my childhood, I'd make a little family put of 3 different animals I'd knock on my naughbores Dore and ask if they wanted to play, it was so fun and this is very nostalgic for me 😀 but not everything is about Me so I hope you have a nice day/night and get a good rest bye.

I remember as a child I would see these little guys set up at toysrus and just being in awe. Ive never had one of my own as I grew up poor. I never bothered to mention that I liked them because I didnt want my mom to feel guilty that she couldnt afford to get them for me. I forgot about them. Maybe I will buy myself one now that I am an adult🤗
If you want to have one without splurging I would recommend grabbing one of the blind bag critters, they're a cute little buddy to keep on your desk! I think it can be nice as adults to give that little kid in us who wanted something special a nice treat ❤️❤️
Aww bless ya. You're never to old to start collecting these wonderful critters. I started collecting them when I was about 7/8yrs old as I wasn't very confident and my speech was bad (I was born with a cleft palate). Nearly 14yrs later, Sylvanian Families have helped me improve my social skills, Emotional and Physical development (with speech as you can put your voice to the critters you're playing with) and help you learn more about the outside world through play. I hope you enjoy collecting these magical critters in the future. :)
Do it! I never had barbies growing up (like you, we grew up poor) and it was the most therapeutic thing to go to the store and buy myself a barbie as an adult.
Aww I grew up poor myself and remember being the only one in my school who didn’t have a mobile phone and I certainly never got items like this as a child, that’s for sure. Definitely think you should treat yourself sweetheart and I hope you and your loved ones are well xoxo sending much love x
We did not grow up poor, but so many kids (boys) so having cutesy dolls and breakable items did not make it into my home often and I had to play with friends barbies, but this is soo fun for me, my stress reliever, and painting helps too ❤❤
Sylvanians were something that never failed to make me smile as a child, and seeing you unbox one like this after I hadn't seen them in years made me so incredibly happy, love you alb! :D

I am full grown (old) and this is like Christmas for me, I actually waited to get home to watch it in peace and quiet. I just got a 3 level wooden doll house and I am SOO excited!! It is so fun and fills my mind with good happy thoughts! Anyway, thank you for this, and yes I want this too now! 😄😊😘
Oh My God. I've always wanted a dollhouse since I was a kid, the kind that opens up and has multiple floors. My parents just couldn't afford it. Sometimes I think about purchasing one as an adult. Do you make any of the accessories? I always thought it would be such a fascinating hobby.

this is so nostalgic! I’m a little bit younger than everyone else here in the comments I think but I remember my grandma giving me 20ish dollars at Toys R Us when I was young and I went straight to the Calico Critters and bought whatever I could get (which was a set of bunny triplets and their beds) I loved them so much

It honestly reminds me of Quints which my sister used to collect when she was younger.. they all had like super tiny objects in different colours and different sets, and that just reminds me of it! I can't believe they did this collab, it's like it was made for you? I'm glad you were able to get your hands on one as a gift! How Special!
I vaguely remember Quints..i was 5.i had the big Quints house. It was two yrs before polly pockets came out & became popular
I had a few Quints toys and I loved them so much! My sisters and I would make them our Barbie's babies. I have two young daughters now and told my Mom a few years ago how I wanted to eventually start buying Calico Critters because they were SO ADORABLE and I wanted to play - she bought the first set that Christmas when she was 2.

I’ve been a fan of Ladurée ever since I visited Paris almost a decade ago, and have been ordering from them as gifts ever since! This adorable set is such a beautiful cross between cuteness and elegance. If it isn’t sold out i might want to buy one!
I loved miniature things when I was a kid but my parents never bought me a doll's house, which for me would've been my world if they did, it wasn't really because I was a boy just because they didn't really know where they'd even put it in my room, but this brings me back to my childhood when I used to get all the miniature things I could and used to play around with them.
This is the prettiest thing to exist EVER my eyes are BLESSED

I love this, and all I can think about is how amazing those macaroons are l, and the Marie Antoinette tea. All of these things are a happy place
To display safely without getting dust or possibly knocking them over, you could get an acrylic box or display case people use for figurines. You. might already have those or not like them, but in case you've never gotten them it's worth a thought.
Yeah I really like this idea, I think at some point I would like to create a little "nook" with fully furnished wallpaper and flooring inside a little display case or box. That way it can be beautiful but I don't have to worry about dust or losing tiny pieces. Maybe even lighting! Could be a fun project :)

There’s this stuff called museum gel that can secure things into place and it’s gentle on surfaces. It acts like a putty.
Oh my goodness! Can you make a whole video just brushing cute things with that adorable brush? It was so soothing to watch!

i loved calico critters as a kid and now im in my late teens and rediscovering that love. i def agree that calicos can be loved and enjoyed by both kids and adults, the sets and clothing is so intricate and detailed it makes them feel like art dolls instead of toys!!
I owned this when I was younger, having the houses and different sets, which was so fun! I think it was supposed to be in a display glass, but my sisters and I always played with it and made our own stories. We even had a hamburger shop which was so so fun! I love miniature stuff.
My favorite was the furnitures and those little adorable macarons 🥰

Hi Laurie! My nails are hand painted by me but the sparkles themselves are actually stickers, I got them on ebay! Search "4 pointed star nail decal" and they should come up. Not very expensive either, under $5. I ended up buying a few more sets of them after the first ones came in because I liked using them so much ❤️

I used to have a small collection of sylvanian critters and this was so nostalgic ! I had a bunny couple with two bunny babies , a cat and I think a badger ? And my aunt got me this gorgeous wooden doll house for my birthday with stunning furniture in it , I wish I still had it I’ve no idea what happened it 😢

I’ve got loads of Sylvanian families I’ve got about 5 different houses 4 different shops, schools, treehouses, nursery, ballet theatre, cruise ship tons of cars/vehicles and a lot of characters and furniture I used to love these growing up and used to collect them, I still have every single one love them 😊
