Mr Rob Jorg, thank you very very much for your time and entire content. I installed ubuntu for the first time with your assistance. I feel and thing you can do more. You are excellent at rendering information and wish you do contents on CompTIA Linux+ xk0-005 certification or Redhat certifications. I am absolutely grateful for your solution to an issue I struggled with for a very long time.
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words. I needed this. i am trying to grow my channel so i can put out more contents and share my knowledge. Please share and like my video's, this would help me a lot.
Thank you. if you could share the video that would be wonderfull. Next few video's are on Microsoft Sharepoint, Teams and ill see if i can put out more video's on linux.
Thanx for the piece of the screen resolution. You shouldn't really have to do this as some distros you just change it in the display setting rather than edit grub. Maybe Ubuntu needs to do some changes to their settings so that you can do it from there. . Linux FX was one that I couldn't change from grub.
Thanks Rob that was precise without any lecture tutorial, btw my vm feels bit laggy, would suggest any remedy, I have not yet installed anything on it, no software running, dynamic RAM(512MB - 6GB), SSD, 2 virtual cores allotted. Also if you could suggest if/how Enhanced session be enabled on Ubuntu vm, host is Windows 10,. Thanks
Hi, thanks for your kind words. I put this video on my To-Do list and update it for the latest ubuntu release, also one on kali. I will look into the Enhanced sessions you talk about, i could include this in my upcoming video.
I am not sure what you mean but, turn on "windows features> hyper-v > hyper-V GUI management tools. if you click right mouse button on the VM you want to manage and settings you see the panel.
@@robjorgit Sorry, lest start over: 1. I have hyper-v install on my laptop. 2. I created a ubuntu server 20.04 core VM 3. I install docker and shellinabox 4. I tested that everything is working, OK. Now, to get the best perf out of a VM, its a good practice to install the hypervisor tools into that VM, I know it's not installed because in Hyper-V, when the VM is selected, and i click on "Networking" i don't see the IP-Address, just the mac-address & which switch it's connected to.
would this be good if I set it up as a home server? I have a Dell precision 3600 server running Ubuntu I want to get rid of, but I want to down size to having one computer.
