The 280 DH pencilcase must be 'Eastpak'; they're now incorporating high-end brands into children's products. 😂 It's marketed towards the 'cool kids.' However, pencilcases in Morocco typically cost around 35 DH on average
It's better and cheaper to buy school supplies from department stores. Usually we buy them from school supplies shops in area that are more traditional/ small and inexpensive but since you aren't Moroccan you may come across someone who doesn't speak English or someone who would scam you and tell you a bigger price than normal. As for school books, international schools and most private school bring the books from abroad since they are a little hard to find usually in libraries and those books cost a lot so be prepared so you don't get shocked. The type of shop you shopped in now is one of those where people don't really care about money that's why you'll find some crazy prices and expensive brands. That's not just for school supplies but everything from leisure to groceries, some places where the people are probably so rich they would only care about the quality and money is not a big deal. Hope your journey in Morocco will be wonderful Inshallah you will enjoy it with your family 💕

6:12: paying fees to the department is a private school thing. My kids are in a private school here in North America and we have to pay over $400 per child at the beginning of the year, apart from the monthly payment 🙃 Other than that, before covid we had much more choices for the school supplies and it was cheaper, now it’s different, everything is more expensive and much less choices. But definitely feel bad for the locals in Morocco!!
10:50 about those words you can use mashalah to describe something nice, and the second thing about the right word that you have to use for what you said is hamdu lah,it means thank god,❤😅
In America there is dollar stores here in Morocco there is “moul 5 dhs” it’s almost everywhere and everything costs about 5 dhs or something close. Therefore, u can get decent pencils cases for a cheap price. You can find them pretty much everywhere u just need ask!
Hi i hope ur doing grate well this is a tiny advice from a Moroccan. If you want to buy school supplies never ever buy them from those boogie huge libraries because the stuff that they sell is sooooooo over priced . Instead i advise you to buy like pens, notebooks, and all the pencil case stuffs from marjal because they really do few big deals. But for the books i advise you to buy them from a normal library you know and if you don't find them because based on what u have said your kids are studying in a private school so i assume that the program that that school uses to teach is not a Moroccan program which means the books are not made in morroco so they bring them from the other counties (example:english books from england.and frensh book from France) and when ur gonna buy those books ur gonna be so shocked by the price because theye are expansive for so many reasons like the shipping cots ...... and that it i hope that you understand me even though my English is broken but yes am trying my best to help you as much as i can by giving you those Moroccan tricks and that's it . I hope that you and the kids would pass a great time here in morroco❤❤
I go to marjane i choose the price range i want and can afford depending on the importance of the article but for next years buy the school supplies from the USA.
Hi Eren just put in mind that your kids are in expensive school, that only the upper class can afford so better to take the required supplies by the school cause if you take notebooks from souk those with a lower quality the school will tell you bring them back and buy the required ones. For the "Eastpak" pencil cases 280 dh or school bags 700 dh are expansive but the fake brand are really cheap.
hey just an advice count in dirhams dont compare it with american dollars itlll be easier for you and u ll understand that things you bought are way more expensive than its supposed to , for example a pencil case for 280 is way too much u can find it for 50 30 40 dirhams in small shops or in marjane aswaq assalam
Wow, that was expensive . You can buy a lot of those products at the American Dollar stores😅 or even Walmart, which can have special going on. Good luck.😊
Hi please check where you live if they have Aswakassalam (super big store and they have a huge school and toy selection and extremely affordable). This store where you went looks nice but it is expensive. You can get a pencil case at Aswakassalam for a few bucks. Also Maryane would probably have school supplies. I hope they have the best time at school!
I'm watching your videos because I like your American accent it improves my listening. I was hoping if you can not speak fast sometimes to catch you words 😅 but it's nice what you doing. God bless you
Don’t worry Moroccan will not buy from here or that mark even books we pass it from one to other or buying used book or rent it We have our way to juggle this school entrance big scam
The supplies are soo expensive i prefer to buy them in marjane or aswak salem or sometimes in souk cause the prices there are not that much expensive and do not buy certain brands supplies , all the supplies are the same
And always buy local brands are cheap example pencil case at 15dh or less also other stuffs imported brands pay Extra ptaxes and also without that these brands abuse prices
Don't forget to label everything (individually)with your child's name. Otherwise by the second trimester they'll be missing pens, markers and pencil crayons. Either way you'll have to restock some things by mid year! Was that the total including text books? If so that ain't bad! History text book cost over 400dhs alone . Some schools ask for a tablet or ipad😮
The total is correct , the issue you have many books of 16dh and 1 of 12dh other 17 other 27dh and 3 I think of 52dh , those books were cheap than previously , people complain about prices. it's not 64dh it's 4 books of 16dh and you have books of 52dh
Hi ،i want you to help me if possible my father is a cancer patient and they asked him pet scan device worth 800 dollars and we do not have anything please if you can help us thank you we are from Morocco

We are not upper class. If you think this is expensive RAS is 25k usd each This school is a 1/3 of that
In this case you have to say "alhamdulillah" and it's meaning is "thanks god".
hey just an advice count in dirhams dont compare it with american dollars itlll be easier for you and u ll understand that things you bought are way more expensive than its supposed to , for example a pencil case for 280 is way too much u can find it for 50 30 40 dirhams in small shops or in marjane aswaq assalam
Just from a local Moroccan library or box office 😊
Hey mama! Never share ur children location's okaay be safe and have fun ❤❤
Wow, that was expensive . You can buy a lot of those products at the American Dollar stores😅 or even Walmart, which can have special going on.
Good luck.😊
I do miss Walmart 🤣
hajja erin!
Bookstore in Morocco itis called " La "librairie"
How about school uniforms? School stuff has always been dear in Morocco!
Yes, lady Camryn is demanding!❤🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes they will be wearing uniforms which is included in our tuition price
@@momof4vlogs yes, in UK school uniforms parents pay for it between 50 to 60 pounds each!
Yes I have one near me. I was trying to support local business
الادوات باهضة الثمن تعتبر مستوردة فطبيعي جدا
I love سميتك hh 😅😊
How much did you spend on school supplies and where do you live?
There must be a mistake. Pencil case generally cost between 10dh and 30dh. Maybe 280 dh it's for the Eastpak backpack. Go and check somewhere else.
@@momof4vlogs 1060 dh
Hi please can you let me how you pay every month for school
@@zakariaismaili9426 how much you pay every month please

I'm watching your videos because I like your American accent it improves my listening. I was hoping if you can not speak fast sometimes to catch you words 😅 but it's nice what you doing. God bless you
Basically import duties on paper are pretty high...

Oh hell nahh is it that expensive now? We used to spend like 150 dhs for school supply when we were kids 😂😂
مقلمة ب 283 غريبة ..اظن المكتبة توجد في المريخ..
There must be some mistake. Kits generally cost between 10dh and 30dh. Maybe 280 dh it's for the backpak.
Nope these were pencil cases 🫨
Good
The supplies are soo expensive i prefer to buy them in marjane or aswak salem or sometimes in souk cause the prices there are not that much expensive and do not buy certain brands supplies , all the supplies are the same
can you visit sibaba city its sooo big
And always buy local brands are cheap example pencil case at 15dh or less also other stuffs imported brands pay Extra ptaxes and also without that these brands abuse prices
Hi Can you do a vedio at supermarket pls for back to school ?
Inchallah
Next year go to the souk lol
Don't forget to label everything (individually)with your child's name. Otherwise by the second trimester they'll be missing pens, markers and pencil crayons. Either way you'll have to restock some things by mid year! Was that the total including text books? If so that ain't bad! History text book cost over 400dhs alone . Some schools ask for a tablet or ipad😮
No not including books we’ll see with that soon
@@momof4vlogs brace yourself!
The total is correct , the issue you have many books of 16dh and 1 of 12dh other 17 other 27dh and 3 I think of 52dh , those books were cheap than previously , people complain about prices. it's not 64dh it's 4 books of 16dh and you have books of 52dh
Another word meaning machi mochkil is HANYA.
Hie, you don’t your purchses in marjane it’s probably less expensive 😮
