Most military people know the old saying "amateurs talk tactics, professionals talk logistics". True experts, however, talk national production.

So the supply chain issues that we have recently had indicate that the west has been, as Warren Buffet states, swimming naked?

How about building the human resources? How about funding defense contractors to sign deals with students who study electric work, or welding? How about guaranting them a job with a certain minimum wages if they graduate with a certain certification? And then the certification comes with a bonus equal to 75 percent of all the tuition they had to pay all these years? Even if the defense industry does not need so many of them, the US industry does.
    Paid people to become talent.

A business in the current USA only cares about optimizing for profit and nothing about quality or cost of what they produce so long as profit is maximized.

NATO didn't attack Russia, but a lot of states formerly under Soviet/Russian influence wanted to be part of both EU and NATO. Nobody was forcing them and there was nothing aggressive about that. Instead all these countries knew how Kremlin/Russia operates: assassinations, corruption, bribery, interfering in elections and a deep wish to re-create the old Soviet empire. The blame is entirely on Russia, they could have treated their neighbors a lot better, treated them as independent sovereign states and offered them a better future. But Russia chose first hidden war though mercenaries then annexation and when they were rejected, finally a flat out invasion/attack/war. The response from the west on this attack is completely called for and the only sane response.
There is no doubt that Putin/Kremlin/Russia had a strong belief in their own military strength, but through this ongoing battle in Ukraine that picture must have been shattered both in Russia and also around the world. War is evil, both against your opponent but also against your own population, who are the ones bearing the consequences of that decision. We need to support Ukraine as long as it takes to get Russia to withdraw. It might be costly now, but it could be a lot costlier later, if Russia is not taught a lesson.

@@tonywyli EU/NATO is assisting Ukraine in expelling Russia from Ukrainian territory. China would not directly interfere in that.

@@curioussand1339 If Russia is losing the war, we would interfere. Luckily at this moment, Russia has the upper hand. Ukrainian, is expendable.
