The use of the word in this context doesn't mean they are better than others. It's a reference to a tiny segment of society endowed with wealth and power. :-)
Hello, my friend! I appreciate your insights on power dynamics. It's indeed crucial to address this perspective, particularly in our political system. The current distribution of power often leaves many individuals feeling powerless while concentrating authority in the hands of a few. It's encouraging to see intellectuals highlighting this issue. There's a definite need for more theoretical exploration and literature on this subject. Often, we find ourselves distracted by secondary issues, overlooking the primary concern of domestic power conflicts.
To say the US didn't want Iraq to invade Kuwait is naive. The Soviet Union had fallen and the US used this opportunity to demonstrate it's 'gee wiz' weapons and dominance. Except, unlike his idiot son, H.W. was smart enough to thwart Chaney and Rummy's pressure to go into Iraq and so that "war" (really a turkey shoot) was a "success." The "we take no position" line that arguably led Iraq to the slaughter wasn't an error or mistake. And, as for 9/11, there's so evidence that it was an inside job that it's undeniable now. In fact, every single war that the US has gotten involved in, since at least the Spanish American War, has been precipitated by the US. Whether through a false flag, indirect provocation, or by allowing an attack they know is coming to happen. So, for 9/11, the US gave up two antiquated buildings to capture two countries.
The CIA had an unclassified operation where they planned a false flag attack on an American base to try and get the US public to back a war with Cuba. They had even made up a fake solider who would die, everything about him was fake from his records to his service to his death, and the base would be attacked by CIA trained assets using live rounds. There are so many instances of the shadow government using false flags to get public support for war that at this point you’d have to be willingly ignorant to not see it. Since the end of the Second World War, the US through the CIA has started so much crap from coups to arms dealing to trafficking.
TL:DR The problem is that one person with a million dollars has more political/policy influence in america than a million people with one dollar. To speak on where this video ends, millennials and zoomers have a fundamentally different set of shared exp. and common values than the elder generations and leadership of the country. Many of our politicians esp. last two presidents are trapped in a cold war perspective of the world in the sense that cold war strategy, doctrine, solutions, and policy are being applied to modern issues that have developed and manifested outside of the context and dynamics of cold war superpower competition. We need new leadership, thats fully aware of the sentiment of current generations, in order to regain a cohesion among american society that allows for seperate sides if issues to compromise for rhe greater good. The leadership of america does not represent the interests of the majority anymore. And with the political power structures in place, the leadership has become entrenched with the corporate interests with lobby power. This has led to the erosion of rights, and establishment politics that serve special interests over constituents. The citizens united fiasco and easing of lobbying rules ensures that those with money control the direction of the country. Propaganda is used to create attitudes and rhetoric that demonizes those opposed to establishment serving leaders, and will make sure the ones elected will serve the ones with money for campaigns, power stays in the realm of the koch families and the sacklers and the wealthowning minority. The propaganda machine uses the wealth of the elite to steer the voting bases against each other, creates enemies from neighbors, and convinces the voters to choose policy and people on the ballot that are against their own self interests. And the media plays the role of spreading the divisiveness, and masks the fact that the voters have become disillusioned by the lack of true political representation that the will vote in bad faith just to experience some sense of agency. If its impossible to win in any meaningful sense then the next best thing is going to be victory by proxy. This manifests thru fearmongering campaigns and obstructionists politics where you win by preventing the other side to realize their goals in absence of a majority. Americans are content and happy to shoot themselves in the dick as long as it means perceived opponents dont get laid. Until we are able to overcome money in politics, nothing will ever change. And until we reach the point where Americans can bring themselves to sacrifice their virtues for the sake of reason, then the machine will happily chug along.

Elitists, not elite
They aren’t elite

@@Ted_Eddy they call themselves “elites” too, so they like the name. I use elitists too from them.

"Voting" in "elections" won't change anything.
We're way past that.
Rudy is my favorite guy to listen to.
15 minutes in and doesnt seem to be anything new or interesting
Just what I suspected. Rudy is not so bright. Not so well read
I thought he had a good understanding of current sociatal issues.
Why do you believe he is not bright?
Thanks for sharing
Was hoping the title would be addressed. Rambling back and forth =no interest in part 2.

I heard no dismissiveness. Can you cite an example?
We opened our southern border and the best came. It was a brain and money flight from Venezuela, Brazil and others. Our gain - their loss.
