How can I back pay contributions for UIF. My domestics did not want to register, but know they have been retrenched and are demanding that I pay up UIF for them so that they can claim. Both are still employed by other employers and I do not know if these employers have registered them yet? Please can you help

Thanks for your video. I have tried to register my domestic worker on u-filing. I did not receive a uif number because for some reason I failed the vetting process and can't get hold of them. If I try to start from the beginning again I get a note saying already registered which is wrong!!! What must I do. How much do you charge to register my domestic for me and then I can pay the contribution myself every month through u-fling. So frustrated with the system!!

I haven't claimed uif since I've worked at a few different places in the past years and since I've become unemployed again. i would like to know what must I do. because I hear from friends and family that you have to let previous employers sign off on papers and in my experience. The few places I've worked for. Either the person decided to close down the company or the HR that use to work for the company has left or the previous boss moved and I don't have a contact with them anymore.
So how would I be able to collect uif if most of the people I need documents from are impossible to get in the hands.
I would highly appreciated it if you could assist in this regards.

My moms domestic is registered but not on ufiling - My dad used to do this - We cant find her reference number - have emailed and called various departments so we can update details and do payments - will registering her again help?

If I am just now registering a domestic worker who has been employed since March, do I need to complete and send multiple UI-19 forms, one for each month since March? Also, must I as an individual send my bank details to Dept of Labour, or is that just for companies? Thank you again.
Yes you do, you would do one for each month, but best to do it online on the U filing system

If your domestic worker becomes unemployed then they can claim unemployment benefits from the department of labor, also if the go on maternity leave then they can also claim benefits. Also remember that it is compulsary to register them by law, so you can end up in big trouble if you do not register them.

Hi, my domestic worker is registered with the UIF and we pay the contributions monthly. She now has to apply to claim, as we can not afford her salary. Do we send the same forms UI8 and UI-19?

It will help if the phone was answered by the UIF department- they expect the money but no-one to help .......pathetic service. It is so difficult to register a domestic- wonder how difficult it will be to make a claim ? Thanks for your video
