  • Deanna Tikhonov WHNP-BC discusses why pap smears are recommended, who needs them and how to reduce the risk for cervical cancer. I get that this is not the most glam thing to do but there is a reason behind it. If you feel uncomfortable with your provider it's probably a good idea to find someone new. Feeling comfortable is KEY!

    Why can’t we do these ourselves? I’ve never had one. I can’t bring myself to ever get one. Any time they tell me i need one, I say no. I’m a virgin so I know I’m lower risk but people will tell me I still need one. I have far too much anxiety and have trama from doctors in the past.
