    This is so pretty! The pattern looks really confusing to me but I’m thinking I can do it with the help of your video. I had a question about the yarn though. In the pattern they used a size 6 yarn and you used a size 4. Did you go up a size in the sweater to make the adjustment work or did it come out the same? I prefer using weight 4 yarn too so I’m wondering if I can use a weight 4 as well. I appreciate your video, thank you!

    • @JaneWirawan

      If I'm not mistaken the lion brand wool ease is also a size 4 yarn.

    Hello! I have been absolultey stuck on the front panels as I feel after armhole shaping and neck shaping it says I should have 21 stitches total (I keep ending up with 30). When you reach armhole shaping are you still doing the neck shaping decreases every 4th row?

    • @deborahchan7345
      @deborahchan7345 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe I'm counting it wrong? For example when we start neck shaping: Row 1- ptog neck shape row, 2, 3, 4 (neck shaping), 2, 3, 4- ptog (neck shaping) OR is it Row 1- ptog neck shape row, 1, 2, 3, 4 (neck shape row), 1, 2, 3, 4 (neck shape row).

    • @JaneWirawan
      @JaneWirawan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, which size are you making? If I'm not mistaken it should be size 1 (bc you mentioned that you should end up with 21 sts)
      Hopefully this can help.
      So before any decreases you should have 44 stiches, then you start to dec for the neck shaping (-1, so you have 43). This will happen in total 15 times (the pattern says rep 14 more times, so it's in total 15 neck decreases). 44-15=29
      While decreasing for the neck, you need to start decreasing for the armhole after 38cm, so you do BOTH neck and armhole decreases.
      Row 1 -4
      Row 2 no dec
      Row 3 -1
      Row 4 no dec
      29-5=24
      Then you repeat row 3 and 4 3 more times (-3, so 24-3=21)
      Let me know if this isn't clear enough!

    • @deborahchan7345
      @deborahchan7345 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JaneWirawan OMG thank you for the response! Just making sure I am reading the Neck shaping portion correct. Your stitch counts are MEGA helpful!!!
      Just making sure I'm reading the pattern correctly...
      Neck shaping for left front panel:
      Row 0- Decrease 1 (43) (btw did you P2tog when 13 stitches left or 11?)
      Row 1
      Row 2
      Row 3
      Row 4 - Decrease 1 (42)
      Row 1
      Row 2
      Row 3
      Row 4 - Decrease 1 (41)
      Repeat until 15 inches (38 cm): then I start neck shaping AND armhole :)
      Is this correct? Maybe I'm over thinking but it would help me soooo much. TYSM

      @deborahchan7345 for the neck decrease I did it when I have 11 sts left, so 1 sts before the wide cable and the first purl of the wide cable will be purled together.

    Hey there, I’m on sleeve part of this cardigan and I’m at a loss where to exactly place increases. ( shape sleeve part). Can you share how you did your increases. Also did you add two extra cables on each side? The pattern I’m following has ...moss stitch, wide left cable, narrow left cable, center cable, narrow left cable, wide left cable, moss stitch

    • @JaneWirawan
      @JaneWirawan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember it correctly for every size the increases are made after the first moss cluster (before wide left cable) and before the last moss cluster.
      I started my additional cable after 6 increases to incorporate the left cable and after 10 increases to incorporate the narrow cable. It does look kind of stiff because the cables start mid row, however I didn't know how to make it look more natural

      Does (work in Moss st as established over next 2 sts) mean to do K1, P1 every time you do the increase row on the sleeve? Also, how do you work the increases before they become cables? I'm very stuck on this part.

    • @JaneWirawan
      @JaneWirawan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The increases are worked in moss stitch :) just start the cables when you have enough stitches for the cable, example for the narrow left cable is added after 4 increases because it needs 4 stitches
