Alix I love your videos so much but this was not one of your best :( it would have been SO much more helpful if you discussed products that you actually tried and tested and knew to be dupes or good substitutes of your own products, maybe even included a wear test for the day. From this video I have no idea how these items actually perform and if they’re worth buying or not, and half of them you weren’t in love with either! It would be really helpful to see a drugstore dupe video of tried and tested items

I bought the Match Perfection concealer back then because of you and loved it, but I haven't been able to purchase it again up until last weekend on my trip to London. Such a coincidence! I still love it :)

I don’t mean to be negative but you appeared to put a downer on ever drug store product. I felt like my makeup bag of high street products would not be good enough for you. You do receive a lot of products for free so it came across as a wee bit condescending whether it was your intention or not. Not my favourite video of yours I am afraid

Lost Thoughts she usually does use a lot of CF & V brands. Glossier, Zoeva, Stila, Milk & Flower for example. She’s done full face of Milk & Glossier recently- just have a look at her library of videos. Lots there to choose from.
Lately there have been complaints about cost, so she’s trying to give lower price options here.
Some of the lower cost CF&V stuff is limited to some countries and aren’t always available all over the globe.
Kamloops Cruise there are quite a few drugstore brands that are cf and vegan like NYX, makeup revolution and most of rimmel products are. I think it would be cool to see some looks with those products as they are cheaper and cf/vegan. yeah it’s just a different video suggestion xx

The MaxFactor Masterpiece Max mascara you recommended recently comes in both black and in black/brown (it’s simply a dark brown), the brown’s been my go to for ages!

The BB cream was super super patchy
Wet n Wild does a liquid highlighter with an applicator if you wanna try another one

No 7 tinted moisturizer is a great dupe for the laura mercies tinted moisturizer i find!!!

NYX has a skin tint called Bare with me!
If you want a great tint from the drugstore. Try the Rimmel #Insta Flawless Primer in Medium/Dark. I have light skin tone and this shade leaves the healthiest summer holiday tan to the skin with minimal coverage. Its so lovely.
Budget friendly lash curler - ASDA sell a brand call QVS. I purchase this brand's eyelash curler on the regular. I am SUPER hard on my eyelash curlers and this one is very good. I think it's about £5? and it comes with two spare pads as well :)
I like this kind of mascara too! They're not very common though... Helena Rubinstein lash queen perfect black gives you the same effect and the packaging is stunning 👌

Trust me I can look cakey with some high end products. That’s nothing to do with the price point, that’s the type of product that you choose.

I tried that concealer years ago and it barely has any coverage at all. Could be great for those who don’t really need coverage but then I don’t understand the point of using it in the first place 😂
Great video, thanks, your look at the end was very summery, dupe vs high end are always good and you can usually find something that matches i.e brow pomade and mascara . Fan of your videos, they are always so informative and well presented. Hope your settling in well to London life.
I bought maybelline total temptation in brown @CVS, maybe it is available in the UK as well.
Have you tried the new Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil by nyx? I find that it’s quite similar to the Glossier Skin Tint!
Original products that you routinely use for your look would be fun to see to answer your question. Enjoyed this. I noticed you’re using more powder products over the summer. So do I. The creams are best in winter dry cold.
You looked very nice in this more budget friendly line up which took some work with a couple of them. I’ll pass on those. However the ones that really did work might be worth a look.

The WetnWild liquid highlighters have a large doe foot and I have a color really similar to the Glossier one you have. It's the shade Halo, Goodbye 👋

I think the best dupe for d nyx softmatte lipstick in london is the one from Charlotte tillbury in the shade Best actres.. i have them both n love them!
Hardly a dupe though cos will be more expensive.
