Firstly, the sky ride was absolutely grim last time I rode it, I've actually always enjoyed the walk through the park and will opt to cut through the gardens if possible (primarily to avoid the smell and stickiness of the sky ride). I have however said I think Alton Towers would benefit from some sort of shuttle service that wouldn't require too much maintenance in park. I completely understood the up-charge for the Daz games attraction however I did find it rather cheeky of them to charge extra for another 'merlin' attraction, I experienced the Towers dungeons for myself; what annoyed me about the fact I had to pay extra was that they were re using scripts and scenes from others dungeons I'd previously visit, for a company with such deep pockets you think they'd have made this more unique, especially when paying customers are paying even more to attend. Regarding Hex, I do believe it definitely needed some TLC but with this being an indoor attraction you think they'd have utilised the winter months in which they couldn't necessarily use their time on other coasters etc to do this. Concluding my opinion, many things they could have done better but overall, we don't have much comparison living in the uk, pretty much everything is merlin or has been shadowed by merlin.
Thank you for leaving your opinion here! I have to admit as well ive personally enjoyed the walk around alton towers. However, i do understand why there needs to be an operational form of transport with having a family member who genuinely does struggle with walking especially for long distances. Thankfully i hope after the multi millions i hope we get a nice fresh skyride especially when mixed with the upgrades already done. As for Hex its already had some TLC! Which is why it was closed last year other than the start. Some new themeing as well. So should be good once its open 🤞
Imo the £10 park increase is fine as long as there putting it to good use bc if I remember right the car park roads were shite 😂 sky ride been on and off for a few years now, would rather they just get it sorted then promise or expect the community to think it’ll be open. let’s go loving the grind brands ❤🎉
Thank you 🙌grind for the 300subs! Thankfully they are actually putting the increase in cost to good use with relaying the entire car park 🔥 really happy about that to be honest.
I remember when i visited in the mid 80s there used to be a open top train that took you through the gardens, i cant remember whereabouts it was, shame that went, it is a bit of a trek without the cable cars.
Not sure if you are talking about the old skyride which was open top until they changed the carts but yes 100% quite the walk for people who may struggle
icl that 3d map looks incredible, and considering this is the first time i've seen a photo of hex, i quite like the look of it from the outside!! cracking bit of content as usual, and enjoy your stay at alton when you go!!!
Unfortunately I'm not 😂😅 The only positive is they are re laying the car park so no more pot holes which I guess is a positive that at least with the increase in cost they are working on repairing the roads and surface which is a lot better then the government with car tax but yeah not great.
Whilst I agree food isnt a great price you can easily bring a packed lunch and snacks. You cant easily give yourself a new pair of legs if you struggle to walk 👍
Can 100% see why you think that! Great to see both parks really stepping up there game this year though. Feel it will probably take alton 2yrs or more before its back to its best
Yh I’ve Seen The 3D Map Havent Been To Alton So It Was Good To See It As A 3D Version. I’ve Seen Videos Of Some Of The Rides My Favourite That I Want To Go On Is The Smiler I Like What They’ve Done With Some Of The Theming Around The Park ❤️ W Video
@@BrzndzVlogzPerhaps. But plenty have investments millions and stopped before finishing as they realise it’s just endless work or doesn’t make financial sense to continue. Repainting something doesn’t just fix issues with rust when it’s structural.
@OfficialSamuelC I never said painting fixes structural issues? The multi millions arent going into that 😂 Also even if they scrapped it theyd replace it with some form of transport so either way money will be spent 👍
@Julianker Well thats your opinion 👍 The park needs a form of transport. It is common place in the theme park industry for any successful park. In addition, with the size of Alton Towers. Find it funny you both dont know what Alton have planned and just assume because theyve announced its closed for the 2024 for work that must mean they are going to close it 😂😂
The last few days has provided us with loads of news regarding Alton Towers, what do you think to everything that has been said?
Gutted for the lack of Hex and SkyRide. Bianca PROMISED!
Hex opens later this year and skyride was unplanned.
They have put a sign out giving a full explanation about how they really want to keep it and are putting everything into it.
I know :) Everything in this video was from biancas' statement :) which is similar to that sign.

Missing the skyline is gonna be crucial for Alton
Dont think its going to be crucial but 2 yrs without it isnt ideal or great.

the sky ride will be missed for the 2024 season but i wonder if they will be doing any other alternative modes of transport
Unfortunately doesnt look like any other forms of transport is going to be provided other than some hireable scooters

Need to get yourself down to Alton towers 🎢 thank you, glad youre enjoying the content 🙌
have to beg mum to take me there LUL but i will see what this cactius can do

I would have thought that over fifteen qiud for terrible and tiny fish and chips is a much bigger issue for the park than the sky ride thing.

In addition, this video was about the announcements they made the other day which if you watched the entire thing i do explain :)
@@BrzndzVlogz Fair enough. i've only been there the once and the lack of the Sky Ride thingy working was not a problem for us at all.
The Updates That Alton Towers Made Have Been Good, Rip SkyRide! :( The 3D Map Looks Cool Hopefully They Add It To There App!
shame about the sky ride it was so convenient but hey at least we got a new map
Not just convenient but helped out people who would struggle to walk!
The 3d map looks so cool, shame about the sky ride
Dark forest queues might be a bit shorter tho 🤔🤔
For me Alton Towers was the best park in the country but no longer Thorpe park has definitely over taken it very poor management! .

skyride is finished and wont come back, after 2 years not working it will rusted solid on the pylons, it wont be cost effective to recommission it.
You do realise that it wont be rusted because they are putting multi millions of £s into it? 😂 therefore it will be as fresh as ever

Trust me it is not worth the money that is needed. The guys at towers will realise money is better spent elsewhere. Rest In Pieces Skyride
