After 6 years with the replacement speaker on hand I finally had the courage to take it out after watching your video. You really need to pull it out, it has more grip then you think. Don't be afraid. Thank you for this video.

Thank you for this! I needed to remove my front HVAC controller to replace it and your video is the only one showing how to remove the newer style w211 speaker grill vent piece. All other ones show the older style. I would have never known how to remove mine without this video!

More than likely if the speaker is just buzzing, all the speaker needs is to be tightened to the dash itself. The vibrations cause the screws to unthread and just the tiniest gap can cause huge amounts of rattling. Thank you for sharing!! I'm gonna head home and fix this in mine tonight!

Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to post this. The Harmon Kardon speakers in my '07 E 320 sound pretty tired and I've been wanting to replace them for awhile now.

Awesome... very helpful... and I've repaired speakers in the past with silicone so great to hear this may be possible. Regarding playing music to loud... not sure it's possible but I was in the front row of a Moby show at the House of Blues in San Diego and when he came out for the encore he cranked up the volume and to this day I believe my ears were bleading ;-)

My c43 has been rattling but when I press my finger on top of the speaker cover, it stops. Is that same problem u are having? I searched online on how to remove the cover so I can trouble shoot it Bc the dealer couldn’t fix it, I bought it to them 3times already. It seems like an easy fix if all it is is just the speaker vibrating against the cover.

If I haven’t purchased a replacement speaker, but don’t mind just getting sound from the door speakers as long as the rattling stops. Can I just remove the speaker once I take off the cover ?If so, how do I do it? Just cut the wire or something? Will it affect the other speakers if I simply remove or disable the dash speaker shown in the video? As I’m sure you can tell, i have very little experience working with cars or speakers, someone help!

You can just unscrew the speak there should be 2 screws then unplug it no need to cut it

For some Mercedes, you pull out the grill from the front and not the back as shown in the video, and you can get the tool at Harbor Freight; that's pretty much it. It's an informative good video, give the guy some slack; he took the time to explain the background stuff too. If you're just looking to see how to do it and not be aware of some extra things, you can do something wrong. If anything, you'll learn something new

How about showing FIRST the tools, not just the shadows? Then you use the plastic tool and your hand is right in front of it. A lot of talking, very few and bad showing. Just ONE TIME working with professionals.
