There are all the cover voices, Velasquez, Morissette, Henrique and so on, good singers for sure. But it's Mariah who gives me goosebumps and tears in the eyes for 30 years now. They can't compete with her, nobody can do this.

The Glitter recording sessions were actually the BEST vocal state Mariah has ever had post-prime. She still sounded somewhat tired here but she really shines on songs like Lead The Way & Never Too Far, which were most probably recorded later that year (2000).

I was drawn to this song when it first came out. Something about it; I was just listening to it over and over. It was relatable and I just loved mariahs voice on this song in particular.
I was just flicking through the words when listening to it in music on my iPhone and noticed at the bottom it was written by a lady called Lesley Gore.
My mum died when I was 5 years old, her name was Lesley Gore.
I truly believe this song came to me as a sign from my mum. To say she’s still here and still with me.
