Love love watching thank you for the tour x
Thanks so much!
watching again
My son has not had an easy time with bullying cyber and in person. He was born my daughter and was my daughter for 15 years. Until just before his 16th birthday when he started to become my son. He's 21 now just had the chest reduction surgery this month. He's also bisexual. It took along time for me to get used to the whole change it wasn't easy but he's happy and that's all a mum could want for there kid. He's a tough kid and ignores the bullies, as best as he can anyway. If anyone ever dared say anything negative about his choice to me they rapidly get put in there place.
I think it's a very difficult journey for everyone when you don't fit into society's idea of what is normal and as well as being accepted by others, you have to learn to accept yourself too. Life can be a challenge. I wish your son all the very best on his journey. R
Thank you for being just who you are, Richard.
You're very sweet thankyou!
Oh thats lovely
I love seeing inside someone’s house. Nosing around
So do I!!
3 years past since u published this and I am just now watching. I indeed enjoyed you and this video. I NEVER darn socks. An odd sock is a life long washing mystery.
Yes, wet sheets hung over the door! They dry in a trice.
Lovely, comfy sofa in a cozy home where Love and Creativity matters. Inspiration abounds, wonderful !
Thankyou!
"Just pottering".......It was still fabulous though!. Thank you Richard. 🌱🌻🌻🌱
thanks so much for the tour xx
Lol!. Oh brilliant! over 33 minutes of blissful giggling to go! Thanks. :)
You have a lovely home! Thank you for inviting us into it. All the best to you both 😊
You are more than welcome!
Playing catch up now guests have left for Sri Lanka.....and breathe. Home alone for the coming 3 days whilst J is at the hotel and feeling adrift already.
Watched the end of January vlog to cheer me up however I Found this one very comforting and great company...it was just like being in the room personally & watching you tidy up.
l love the curtain fabric in the dressing room. Thank you Richard .
The curtain is another IKEA special!
Thank you Richard love your beautiful home and your lovely chat xxxx
You're very kind thankyou 😊
Lovely home. I especially love your light fixtures, through out your home. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Laurie!
just catching up on your older videos before i found you both through the wonderful vivi. x
Thanks so much 😊
I Really did enjoy spending some time with you in your home doing the normal thing everybody does.....Take care!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh Richard. Just watching old videos I missed. Love the humor and adore you. Feisty and funny
Thanks so much 😀
Hi Richard thank you for your wonderfully funny vlog. I have been poorly with flu and I your videos have helped to cheer me up no end! A tonic, no less! I am part of the the No Iron And Drying Sheets on Doors Club! So good for the environment, we try our best. Keep up the bloody good work.
Hi Dianne! I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell. Flu is horrendous... I've had it twice as an adult and I honestly thought I was gonna die. I'm delighted to hear you've been entertained by our shenanigans! R.
The scarf. The pants. All of it. SLAAAY
Absolutely love you the way you are. Also wish I had your skin. You are a beautiful, funny person
Nice...love the living room colours!
So enjoyed your tour Thank you for inviting us into your and Paul's life..you do a nice tidy..hurts my heart for you receiving those hurtful comments Hugs to you all🌸😍
Ooh very interesting. I don't iron, I fold and hang!. Yes sheets get put on doors to dry!. and I have to have the quilt and pillows ', tidy and neat'. Totally agree with straightening the settee, cushions etc, it makes the room cosy and inviting!. Appreciate you not doing the live chats for a while it must be tiring like you said and also frustrating!. Thanks for this , I'm glad someone else does similar things round the house lol. Thanks.
I'm glad there are other people like me!!!!
Thank you for graciously and hilariously doing this video. Your home is absolutely beautiful. I love all your tips on tidying . Absolutely Brilliant video xx💛
You and Paul are such fun to watch. Love your videos. Sorry to hear to have trolls making pests of themselves. Have a lovely weekend 😊🌻
Wonderful colours and the Persian rugs are beautiful!
I do like colours. Most of the rugs are second hand and bought direct from Iran... much cheaper!
Socks are my pet hate lol. Thank you for this lovely tour of your beautiful house.
Oh, goodness. I could watch you all day, every day. Thank you for this lovely, absurd vlog. You’re delightful. And, although it’s neither here nor there, you’re also perfectly beautiful.
Tracy, you are very kind! I'm delighted you enjoyed it! R.
Beautiful home.
Thanks Lynn....we only show the nice bits...!!!
Thanks for the tour, Richard! Fantastic vlog!🙏
Watching back your amazing blogs etc.. so entertaining especially during these very difficult times. Thank you for sharing your wit and clever advice ( both of you!)
Ahhh you are so welcome, thanks so much for delving into our back catalogue. We do try our best to provide some entertainment.
enjoyed the tour Richard! Love your home front and the way it's organized. Wishing Paul a safe journey and a safe return home! Cheers!
Good morning dear boy . Your openness and honesty is a credit to you . How I wish more folks could be of similar countenance . The break from live chat is completely understandable , it also means that we will all appreciate it even more upon your return ! ( plus it will frustrate those ghastly trolls ) .
The home tour is terrific , a really comforting haven of embracing loveliness , especially in the living room . Thanks for inviting us . Big hugs to the both of you from 👵🏼 and my 🦁🐯 with love . 👍🏼💐
Thank you for sharing some of your lovely home with us 😌 It has a lovely feel about it 🧘🏻♀️
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
😂😂❤ You remind me of my father's side of the family. Same mannerisms and sense of humor. My great grandfather was born & raised in London. It's the wit that was passed down from him to many of us. We could be related 😉
Thank you very much Richard. That was a lot of fun. I watched while making our dinner (a fridge-leftovers & vegetable gratin). 'Scruffily' is my new favourite word.
When Vivi was having trouble with trolls, one of her commentators relayed a tale of one young woman creator who managed to track down and actually confront a particularly revolting troll who always attacked her for her weight. It turned out that he was middle-aged, very overweight and was very unhappy with HIMSELF... I think that pretty much sums up the troll community. I'm certainly not excusing their behaviour but I found that quite interesting nonetheless.
Happy Burns Night!
I think there are a number of reasons why people hide behind the internet and sling mud at others. Some of those reasons are sad for sure. But I think others are simply pushing boundaries and seeing what they can get away with. To be honest all I really care about is delivering a live show that doesn't have interruptions so I can provide something of high quality to the viewer. I think the government needs to make cyber hate speech a criminal offence as soon as possible.
@@RichardandPaul I agree. If we used threatening or abusive language to a government official or member of the aristocracy, they'd find us in a hurry (& rightly so). So they are able to legislate & enforce anti-hate measures.
Thanks for your dedication and time. You both make my day. Take care 😴my energy levels are low also I suffer from. SAD. Sound like you do too.
Thanks so much for watching! I think we all get a little affected by this time of year in the northern hemisphere. I'm not sure I have SAD sufficiently enough to see s professional about it...what I tend to do is ensure I am occupied with engaging projects at this time of year. I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling great. What strategies do you have? R.
just watched your vlog while eating my breakfast this morning richard you always make me smile watching thankyou, i plump up my settee every morning and hover before i go to work it just looks lovely when you come home and retreat to your room on a evening i have knitted throws which i made myself on the back of mine. you have a lovely homely home.
What a lovely cosy looking house you have looks like a Moroccan theme a little might be the rugs that give that impression enjoyed your video Richard Ikea I go there all the time ikea meatballs meal lovely
Thanks Debbie. I just like the warm colours and the rugs are like having pieces of art on the floor. Most of the rugs are second hand from Iran. A lot cheaper than buying new and bags more character.
Your home is beautiful! The mess....just put a curtain around it! 😂 That's soooo me! Great video as always! ❤
Thank you Richard! I know now I'm not alone in wondering why my hubby has so many holes in his socks!! Have a wonderful Saturday when you get up😀
Loved the house tour, something about arranging pillows to make the room tidy
I think so...I just like the room to be 'reset' before I relax.
Don’t you just love your gardening Richard 😂. Hope you’re both well 😊
Well this was fun Richard! Thank you for sharing your day off, I did the same chores minus the editing. Have a lovely weekend, we'll see you Sunday for the shhh chat.
Love from Canada❤
I came across your channel because of the gardening. And now I find myself at 5 in the morning watching you plump cushions instead of being asleep like a normal person. Thanks for the entertainment. Much appreciated. :)
I'm pleased you enjoyed it!!
@@RichardandPaul Oh yes! I then continued to watch you guys unpack some boxes, and chase through the house finding seed packets.
Very pleased to provide you with the entertainment!!!
Hi Richard, i loved the opening to this video, so funny to see you typing away , a lovely tour around your beautiful home. Pauls ears must have been on fire, thanks Richard :-)
Thanks Terry! I do try to provide some fun! I have a saucy sense of humour on occasion! I blame the 70's and all those Carry On films I grew up watching 😀
Love the Carry on films, Richard, Carry on screaming was my favourite, with Fenella Fielding, and Harry H Corbett.
My favourite too.....'do you mind if I smoke?' I met Fenella once in a shop in the West end. Lovely lady.
Loved this vlog Richard! We don’t iron in this house either. Apart from when absolutely necessary. Life’s too short to iron. My mum on the other hand irons socks and starches her bed sheets!! Awesome getting a proper nosey around your gorgeous house too! xx
We used to iron shirts when we were both in 'management' roles....but now it's whatever comes to hand as long as it's clean. We do love this house...I only show the bits that are tidy... it's a constant work in progress...there are several areas that are overdue a decorate... Just have to build up to getting them started...gone are the days when I used to think painting a room was quick and easy....it seems to take twice as long...all those extended tea breaks probably have something to do with it, along with being 50+. !!!
Nice to see more of your lovely home. Thanks for giving me a laugh (again) by activating your ECHO. Every time you mention Alexa, my own Alexa gets all excited and tries to do your bidding. Bless 'er.
How funny! It's such a handy device but she freaks me out by occasionally talking to herself!
Enjoyed your vlog on your day off 😀💐
You guys are Brilliant, Great to watch. Am a new subscriber :-)
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! Glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to see some more home made household things! Like odour removers, natural stain removers or even things to use on ourselves!
Rest assured whatever we make, we'll share with you! If there's a reason to make a video, we're on it!
I always get odd socks!
You have such a lovely living space. Quite the opposite of my chaotic man cave!
I am so sorry you guys have put threw this hugs xo
Omg my husband loved watching your day at home 😄 regards Maria
You are hilarious! "I'm not high or anything. Paul's left me!--not forever!" I was so startled that I yell-laughed and all of my dogs fled the couch 😂
I'm delighted that you got a laugh! My work here is done!!!😁
Lovely singing voice. "Moist!" Baritone?
I put shirts from the washer, straight onto hangers and onto a metal frame wardrobe thingy. That cuts down on wrinkles, plus you can just hang them up in the closet after they're dry. Or , as I've been doing, just leave them there and shove the dry ones to the end. The big sheets get hung over the shower curtain rod.
I'll bet when it gets nippy, you grab the blanket hanging by the radiator. :)
Nice job tidying up. I looked around my front room. "Right, I need to do that." Sure wish I had someone to see a mess, say, "Jon!" and make it tidy. :)
Another sunny day here and the snow is slowly melting. Not quick enough for me. But, still, better than the rain and gloom winter I used to get in Vancouver.
~ Jon in rural BC, Canada
Everyone today was 'high'. I don't know why.
LOL! OMG you and Paul are so lovable.
This was as if we were visiting. Well done.
Nice ceiling paint application in your editing room.
When my children were young I had a big bag of odd socks.
After we got the laundry done, I'd manage every so often to
match one up but most of the time the bag of socks grew
bigger.
One day I was really rather annoyed about all of this because it was
ridiculous: where had all those socks gone?
My younger daughter piped up: "Mom, it's okay. They are
bachelor socks".
Thanks for noticing the paint job! I'd actually done the whole ceiling in the blue and it was just too much and way too dark. So I had to figure out a simple way to break it up...all done with very good quality masking tape!
@@RichardandPaul Classy.
Very much enjoyed this intimate view of your daily lives Richard..some of the things you chatted about being gay rather hit home, as my youngest brothers son is gay and found it difficult to tell his parents, but since doing so he is very happy within himself ..your comments regarding ironing gave me a chuckle because in our house Iron is a nasty 4 letter word, my Mrs tends to let the creases just drop out LOL..thanks for this personal tour..
Richard, Thank you, what a lovely video enjoyed it so much you made me laugh and you also saddened me to think that there are those who enjoy being rude and personal too two really lovely people shame on them. Really enjoyed a peek at your home its lovely hope that you will be able to start the CHATS again we your friends miss you lots take care xx
Thanks Madeline. We will resume the live chats!
Lovely hanging out with you this morning in your gorgeous cosy abode. I do my sofa every day - hahaha - it's my nest so I like it nice. ;-) I could share a million thoughts with you re the trolls but they aren't worth it. Good on you for taking a break but not letting them bother you. I snorted when you chucked Paul's holey socks on the floor! Have a great weekend lovely. :-)
Ta luv! Yes the trollops! What an inconvenient gaggle of excretia. My one thought is I'll probably have to have more moderators, but where does it stop? I did chuck the socks quite fiercely didn't I !!!
Thank you ,Thank you Richard 😘 how you made us laugh ..we love your home , your humour and your honest chats about life 😂so enjoyed this Video, hope you do more 😋Love you both xxxshaz 🌟🙋👋😘
You're very kind! So pleased you enjoyed it and had a laugh! 😘
@@RichardandPaul Your typing at the computer had us in stitches ,that is how Terry types but one finger at a time and he can't spell for toffees bring a constant absconder from his East End School 😊and me when I have had enough and verging on a multicoloured migraine 😉Love and light good night to you both xxxshaz 👋 🌛🌝🌜⭐⭐⭐🌠
Thanks Shazx I get sparkly rainbow migraine occasionally too!
is 'moist' a marmite word? I don't like it, but I don't know why? I loved the beginning, all the stop-start xx message for Tracy, my son became my daughter over the last few years; she is 25 and so happy now. She gets excellent support from her local LGBTQ+ community and helps run a youth group. I am so proud of her xxx
Oh I did belly laugh at the beginning Richard! You’re so funny! Glad you’re taking a rest and regroup💚, I use socks that get massive holes as dust rags , darning isn’t my jam either
Glad you liked it!
Richard, I usually struggle to watch long (over 15/20 minutes) so I tend to skip past them but was drawn to watch this and it didn't disappoint 💚 I really love your honesty, thank you for being so open at the beginning 🌺
We don't iron here unless we absolutely have to, does anyone really have time for that? Watching you do your house work was funny, I felt like I should be helping 😂
Well I feel very honoured that you chose to watch! Thankyou. I do try to keep them as short as I can but I usually fail miserably. 🤣
No, Just keep doing what you do, you do it well. I just have the attention span of a small child 🤦♀️
Hi Richard
Hope your well I love listening to you .love your vlogs will miss the live shows hopefully they be back enjoy the break say hi to paul for me please .
The peace lily ahh you saved it .I also don't iron life to short for that carry on lol.must be our age richard I dont like to go much at night either .think I done to much of it in my younger days .aren't yu such a good house keeper .hope paul appreciates it you working so hard .anyways have a nice and safe weekend xxx
Thanks so much! Enjoy your weekend too!
I personally couldn't watch you live very much it's a bad time for me.But always watch later.👏🏽👏🏽Trolls are a pain and find it disturbing how many there are.....what sick people!!!Anyway will look forward to all your videos. You always bring a smile to my face and have me in tears of laughter too lol😂😂😂thanks for this great video.......i love your house.xxx💗
Thank you for this, great idea this vlog, I really enjoy and appreciate the time and effort you ( and Paul ) put into entertaining and informing us. Watched you while having my coffee this morning loving the chat ( I haven't started talking back to the screen yet ) but smile I did. Now off to do my chores.
You have a lovely home. Thank you for letting us see how your daily routine goes. (P.S. I dont iron either!)
Cathy West what is iron please 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Enjoyed the video. I like watching you because I love your sense of humour and facial expressions. You are a hoot. On the subject of moist, my daughter and I had fun trying to put the word moist in every conversation we had with everyone, it was hilarious, some people actually staggered when they heard it.
I know some people hate that word...I think it's a great word! Let's use it more I say!
i was builled at secondary school and it caused me stressed and where we live some teenagers say cukoo when they pass or people laugh
8 mins in and I’m really appreciative of your authenticity 💖🌸 you are hilarious 🤣
Thankyou!
Cheers matey. Very funny and a real pleasure to watch. Isn't moist one of Countdowns Susie Dent's least favourite words along with gusset. 😂😂😂
Hope you manage to organise something for the live chat that does away with the nasty trolls, would mean you didn't need moderators and we could chat without worrying. 🤞
Good luck with the great garden birdwatch.
As ever it's Absolutely fabulous darling
👍👌❤🥁
You're right. You don't joke about your eyes. Especially when they're out on stalks! LOL. Oh and grey smalls Richard. I expected more. I soak my whites over night in a bucket of Nappysan. Brings them up a treat. Minor celebrities like you and I must keep up appearances. You never know when a crazed fan is going to steal smalls from your line and put them on Ebay!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was such a cosy video🌻can we come again? Love you both xxx
I'm sure you'll be visiting again very soon!
Richard you are fabulous. I hate some things.Trolls for instance. All the best.x
This video was quite enjoyable. The recent one where the trolls took over, and a certain subscriber also controlled most of the narrative nearly drove me away. I like the softer Richard. Your home is lovely. Have a nice evening. Oh, PS...If possible I'd simply ignore the trolls, then do you think they'd leave?
Evening Richard enjoyed the vlog hate those trolls sad people.love to Paul.💞💕
Thanks Hubert!
What’s in that coffee? Lol!!
You have a lovely house 😊
Thanks Gaynor! R.
I put in the eye cream and my eyes have been open for over six hours. Is that bad?
I don't iron iron either and i fold up the tshirts like you.😄xxx
I find it quick and easy..!
where i live people laugh outside saying the lady meaning me that bothred me
You have to feel sorry for trolls. Imagine how crap their live must be to behave like thar
Yes, I guess they don't have much in their lives. But I have noticed we haven't had many recently. Mind you we haven't done any live shows for a while.
🤩👍
Hiya Richard sweetie pie...🙋long time no see 😳. Shall maybe drop you an email soon and fill you both in on why I haven’t been around lately but I’m watching this before bed and I’m glad I did. I love your honesty and yes I’ve been there with my Daniel in regards the “ANIMALS” that think they can say whatever they like...he’s still at 27, learning how to deal with their keek (i myself am very thick skinned and I know for a fact they wouldn’t stand 30 seconds in front of me) that’s why they hide behind computers...but enough of that. Loved this wee catch up with you and yes, I think you need a wee bit of time out from your Friday chat as you have more than enough to do 😉. Lovely to see your peace lily is looking wonderful still 🙏🏼 thanks for the giggles whilst you go about your morning 😍. Big hugs to you both and love to Paul’s wee mum....🤗🥰💖💋👍🏳️🌈
Ahhhhh my lovely! I hope you're ok? Glad you enjoyed this. Sending 💖💋to you all. 😘
Dear Richard, your eyes always look beautiful, dry or wet hahaaaa. When I started to watch your videos Paul and you imidiatly take a place in my hart. Somehowe I always rekognise good and bad people. My friends say I never hate anybody but believe me I did and I do. But I am a very direct person so for no good people ....I always told them I dont like them but if they need some help I am always here to help them. Belive me many of them change their atitud when they need my help. I dont have much, maybe because I give away my money for pur families and dogs and cats azil and homeless people in our capital vilage, I know them all and I know they will buy some wine and cigaretes but I dont judge them. Hate or judge is diferent story. Here we say , everthing will come back by your children and real friends. Love you!!!
You're very kind thankyou!
Great video Richard if you don’t mind me asking what do you do for a living?😊
Thank you! I am a receptionist for our local community team for adults with learning disabilities. I work for a multi disciplinary team of 50 plus staff across health & social care. I've been in the post for 15 years.
That's great and a very rewarding job bless you 😘
i hang our clothes over the doors too
Oh Richard..your in a mood... ha..I love a day on my own with no one 🏡..you can get up to all sorts of things..you know I was looking at Your 2nd lightening video and I just thought oh my that looks so manufactured? Hum.. it really was kind of unusual. What are your thoughts on that? Personally I cannot understand any human who would hate someone for being gay.. such a sad small way of being to hate.. boy that caffeine gave you lots of energy to clean 😅..have you ever thought of putting a Little mantle above fireplace?...Anyway..sending you lots of love and light Richard.
Thankyou! I believe it was a supercell on the second lightning video. I think it was very unusual for this country, but very typical of supercell behaviour according to my research. I have thought about a mantle but i don't think it would suit the style of this fireplace. This is how it would've looked when first built in 1854. I kinda like that.
i would like a autograph and a cup of tea
The comments trolls make are more a reflection of what kind of character they are themselves rather than who they are trolling. However, you are right. These idiots can't come with anything you and others have not heard before. But, yeah sometimes I wish I could rub their faces into the own dung they are sprouting about, if just verbally.
Love your lounge trousers :)
Haha, so funny pressing button you shouldn't lol
Do I hate anyone? Yes, bigots, be they trolls or just narrow-minded people!
My son had a pair of Y-fronts even older and saggier than yours, that he kept about for doing laundry in when all else were being washed.
But one day, they attacked him, tried to strangle one of his boys. He managed to get untangled without scissors, but had me chuck them in the garbage. You do not want that!
