Oh lord jesus i remember this. My friend thought Eunited weren't gonna show up so he went out for drinks and when he came back i told him about how Eunited were down 2 games since they were late, and he was ready to move on to another conversation til i told him SSG dropped 3 games in a row.... it was pretty quiet in discord for a while after that.
Let’s be honest, S5 and S6 for SSG was just devastating. No matter what they did, they couldn’t pull out a win. Every objective fight felt cursed.
S5 SSG was pretty good until the end of the 3rd phase. They still made it to worlds with that roster.
They started falling off when they traded baskin. It was obviously for the team’s sake but it didn’t turn out well for that team.

I was so happy with how angry Hinduman was about the whole thing. Show’s a lot of passion.
Unfortunately it's not the only time Hinduman has gotten angry at pro teams. He always seems to be the first in last out on these sorts if things. If a team is unprofessional or does something egregious like this he will not let it slide. Which is a good thing. Stuff like this not only belittles playing video games to make a living but also his job. Showing up late disrespects so many people and professions.

This was an ABSOLUTE lose-lose for SSG. If i recall SSG had been on a loss streak but had recently been showing promise, they hadn't won yet but were improving. They had a legitimate chance for some good practice/chance to win vs a middle of the pack Eunited team. It sucked because either:
1. You win the set but with a 2-0 advantage only one game so no good practice
2. You lose the set from up 2-0 which shatters your mental that you were just managing to recover
absolute tragedy
Obviously so many people love smite; whether its the community, the pros, the games, the goofing around and just trolling with your friends. Aside all that however I believe this channel is super important to smite right now, I believe that you showcasing pieces of smite history throughout the weeks and your channels views and growth expedite so many people's passion towards this cluster fuck chicken coop of a game. I don't if i just haven't been looking in the places, but I have never really found a smite channel quite like yours. So i just want to say thank you for constantly reminding me why I love this game. I think content creators like you are extremely important, and deserve to be appreciated. This is me appreciating you. I know this is out of know where, to some video about an upset in the SPL; But I've been wanting to write something like this for a while. Whether you see it or not, keep up your dusting off of the smite history epitaphs, I always look forward to them.

i havent watched this before, but the editing is so good because i really thought that EU would just take the L but then the tides change as soon as they win a game and ur like oh shit so thats what they meant by the worst loss ever.
I remember jumping on this game after missing the start announcement of the eUnited coming late and wondering how SSG were 2-0 up so so quick....the fact EU won is ridiculous

The first 20mins in Game 5 was soo sad since spacestation had 10K gold and 1-11 and around 3 levels on every roll expect solo and mid. Then 1 team fight and all of monument became anxiety and nerves
I hate how space choked in every single game, they won the early game, then they threw all 3 games.
It really was Barra being out of position on an immobile Freya and getting picked.
I thought this was gonna be that 2015 envyus game where they 5 man invade and get tripled in like 2 mins then f6

The castors said it themselves, they came in from around the world to play this set, time zones can really fuck with sleep, especially if you don't have time to acclimate. 1pm for on person could be the middle of the night for another. I dont think it was because they thought they were better, though SSG didn't really show anything to disprove that fact. I think it was just poor planning on EU.
I was like "Why I never watched this stupidity" and then saw the "Presented by Mixer" logo and be like "Oh, that's why"

The first two rounds were the most exciting games of Smite of seen. Better than watching the rest of the tournament.
I always wondered if anyone ever said anything to Jeff about sharing more XP. He was down at least 1 or 2 levels on every other player on both teams nearly every game for a season and a half and I think its because he gives so much XP to his teammates which you can see it help in the early game but late game he never survives.

The lack of professionalism in the spl is a huge problem.
I know it was unprofessional for EU to do what they did but losing to a huge handicap when stomping the early game I have to say EU deserved it. No excuse for being late but no excuse for dropping a set given to you on a silver platter.

I remember a game, I think it was the first or second season, where a team lost, got tilted, and decided to 5 man invade using telaria boots on everyone. Unsurprisingly, they were team wiped within 5 mins of the game starting and surrendered

Bro. I stopped watching spl for a season and a half for personal reasons... and missed this. This was hard to watch for a huge barra fan.
So many things, how do you get 3 really strong leads in the games and lose all 3 so convincingly. Also in game 2, you don’t have the confidence to dive past the Phoenix to secure a kill and make it 5v2 but you have no problem tower diving the Phoenix only to not kill it and burn through all your health giving the other team a huge advantage?
Do you have the DJ Pern game where he caused Hi Rez to change back door protections.
What is that one?
It was an eager game in season 4 I believe. They were loosing badly but DJ Pern (the jungle) picked baset (old baset where her ult made 3 cats) and I believe went a full pen build (I also believe Titians van did 33% pen against towers).
Another critical point was that Pets used to remove back door protections. (The tower behaved like you had minions in the tower line).
So basically eager played hard 4v5 defense and DJ split pushed all the enemy towers and I think a couple phoenix’s and the gold and xp from those objectives let eager get back into the game and win.
A month later hirez came out with changes nerfing pets so they didn’t remove back door protections. And killed Titian’s bane and ob shard afterwords.
Could be wrong about the item info but the protection pet thing I’m right.

@@jotacehh5280 Its very easy to say that as a spectator of a match already knowing the outcome and while I don’t completely disagree I don’t agree either. In my honest opinion venenu played pretty good in this set you should be blaming the main shot caller for a lot of these particular issues. At 12:10 a fight breaks out and Space station down 2 and continue on to push Phoenix without creeps and low hp and continue to get wiped after. Bad call. At 18:10 they pulled fg get it to about 20% and the call was probably to burst it... except it’s Janus/freya they can’t really burn it venenu pre charged Janus ult but the dps stopped and no one contested the cama or tera running in. The right call there is probably to get off nobody was going to stop EU from coming in. Pause and look where andinster and aquarius are when tera cama are causing chaos in the fg pit with SG’s squishies. Come on my guy get some game sense before you just single one dude out. These are terrible calls from most likely the SGs vet players or bad comms all around not just one player. It’s actually sad to see so many just small brain people like you talk about a game that requires more than, “mid can’t secure fg.” Lol players make mistakes it happens, but those plays and those calls that’s a problem with the TEAM not just one person.
How come Taco Fdot Hinduman and Ant don’t cast anymore? Do they still work for HiRez?
