    pallet forks
    3rd function kit
    rear hydraulic remotes
    quick hitch
    ballast box
    fuel can with long spout
    extra hitch pins and clips, extra shear pins for PTO implements
    if you can afford it opt for a slip clutch driveline for any of your PTO implements
    I don't consider the loader, and SSQA, because those are pretty much up to the buyer if they need a loader or not...and if you do get a loader the quick attach option is pretty much a buy it you won't regret it...makes swapping things off the loader quick and simple, no pins to deal with, just flip 2 levers and you are done.
    Pallet forks are a huge plus, you'll find all sorts of uses for them other than moving pallets.
    3rd function and rear remotes...if you don't have a grapple right away, or a hydraulic top link, or anything that requires those 2 options, get them anyways when you buy the tractor its much easier to have them added before you even take possession of the tractor than it is to be without your tractor for several days later down the road while the dealer installs those options at a much higher cost to you than it would have been initially.
    3 Point Quick Hitch is another nice feature, pay attention when buying implements/attachments, many are quick hitch compatible, and many aren't...but some can easily be modified to work with a quick hitch. Its nice to be able to swap implements/attachments without having to kick the hitch arms over pins, or hammer them off when they're stuck...this isn't quite as big of a deal on a smaller tractor where the implements/attachments are somewhat small and lighter weight where you can shove them around a bit, but it just makes things quicker and easier.
    Ballast box, wheel weights, or ballasted tires....doesn't matter which way you go, a ballast box is a great accessory, it can double as a tool carrier when you don't need ballast, fill it up with sand, gravel, etc....don't be stupid and fill it with concrete...fill it with material you can easily dump out. The ballast box will typically sit up closer to the back of your tractor which is good when you are working in confined spaces. Wheel weights are nice because they're still relatively easy to remove if you don't need them...ballasted tires, great idea if you don't have to drive around your yard but if you have a small tractor chances are you want to do yard and garden chores with it....don't put liquid in your tires if you do these things, all that added weight running around your yard/garden just compacts the ground more and will leave ruts if its damp enough....stick to removable ballast for smaller tractors that you use around your yard.
    When you get your tractor and you get a fuel can for it, get one with a long spout, many tractors have their fuel tank filler necks in stupid places that require some finagling to get your fuel can close to. Having one with a long spout makes pouring the fuel in much easier and less spillage...also replace that nonsense safety spout crap with an old style aftermarket one, so you aren't struggling to hit a button, or lever to allow the fuel to flow. Another option is a portable fuel pump, Harbor Freight sells a battery powered one that seems to work pretty well.
    Keep a few extra 3 point hitch pins and clips in the toolbox on your tractor, it'll save you time running back to the shop for them when you inevitably lose one in the dirt somewhere
    Same goes for shear pins for your PTO implements....having a few of them in the toolbox on the tractor is a timesaver as well. If you can afford it, opt to get a slip clutch driveline for your PTO implements, that way it alleviates the need for shear pins...if you have an implement that you constantly break shear pins on replace the driveline with a slip clutch.

    BX1880 with mower deck and removable FEL and bucket, Pats Quick Hitch, homemade carryall that uses a receiver hitch car carrier. Oh and forks. The forks are great for a lot of stuff.
    I need to get those telescoping stabilizers.

    I totally agree with your suggestions. Third function and a grapple was in that “must have” list for me. I was on the fence about which type to buy but wound up with 60” dual cylinder root grapple for use with a Kioti NS5310HST and couldn’t be happier. Great video!!! 👍🏻

      We want one so bad....we've priced the 3rd function and a grapple, but we're sitting tight until we decide if we are going to upsize our tractor. Thanks for watching!

    L2501 owners here. I would have to suggest a pats quick hitch. That has made my life so much easier. I would have said that is a number 1. Quick hitch is nothing on these pats. I’ve had mine for two years now. Do work with the tractor that requires I switch a lot and time is money. Pats should have been number two. Front end loader being one.

      I have a quick hitch, don't even need to get off the tractor to swap between my attachments....the only time I have to get off is to hookup the PTO on the roto-tiller when I need to use it, that's far easier than messing with the stupid hitch arms/pins.

    Why not get the backhoe attachment for the tractor instead of a completely separate machine?

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The versatility of a mini far exceeds the hassle and lack of maneuverability of a backhoe. We'll actually make money when we sell the mini after using it for 10 years!

  • @leeroys207
    @leeroys207 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just get a rear backhoe for the tractor, you dont need an excavator

    • @PineyGroveHomestead

      Depends on how much digging you're doing. Once you've had a mini, you'll wonder how you did without it.

    • @markkram888
      @markkram888 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Backhoe (especially on a small tractor) will seem nearly useless once you've spent time with a mini hoe, so much more capability, maneuverability and efficiency
