  • In this video I do a little excavating and grading with the Kubota Compact Tractor ( L 3901) to fix a lack of drainage issue below the pond. This will keep water from collecting and turning things to mud.

    I like the way you graded the soil down where the water won't be sitting in the road. I need to do the same thing at our family place, and will when I get time.

    Any tractor time is a good time! and you do really good work with your tractor in a short amount of time. You're right about the weather changing, we went from high 80's in Seattle 2 weeks ago to having snow fall in the mountains this week which is just fine by me as I was drawn for a once in a lifetime Bull Moose tag in the state which opens on Oct 1st and I was getting worried about it being to hot to get the Moose Rut started.

    Good video. Glad I came across the page a few days back. I grew up on a farm, but now just rely on FB to get my tractor fix. I'm surprised there is not more fall leave up that far north. Deer season is just a few weeks away for us. I can imagine what it must look like there when they start moving.

      They are starting to fall, Im not holding my breath for a great fall foliage year. Not sure yet what will happen. We had a real cool spell early but now its in the 80's so everything is out of whack

    Greetings again from a rainy Thanksgiving day in MA. Good time to catch up on more of your videos! Do you have any other tips to using a box blade such as when and when not to use float function. I've never used a box blade so any advise would be welcome. Happy Thanksgiving to your family!

    Boy Mike, how do we rate such nice weather here this past week. I haven't recorded any rain for the last 7 days. I'm surprised to see that low spot still has damp soil. This has been a good week if you have any outdoor projects and looks like it will continue into next week, though not good if you are trying to seed some bare spots. I'm heading to our camp tomorrow to mow and do some outside repairs. Have a good weekend!

    Mike have you considered a steering wheel knob since you do so much loader work? I have always used one on any tractor with loader or forklift l have ran for any length of time. When asked, my Kubota dealer gave me a free one with my L3301 tractor and loader purchase

    • @comlbbeau
      @comlbbeau 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I concur about the steering wheel knob. I don't do loader work, but any task requiring lots of steering inputs is made easier with the knob. Just be careful not to get whacked by it if the front wheels recenter and get your steering wheel turning without your input.

    How well do you feel the L3901 handles that 6' box blade? I have been trying to decide between the 5' and 6' box to get for mine.

    • @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
      @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it perfect, I use it very often working it up hill and down and the 3901 handles it very well

      I don't know you , but i'm not too far from you. Clear heavy plastic works best because when driving in with muddy tires , it sticks less.

    wait if its that close to your pond your pond might have a leake.we dont live to far from each other and we havent got much rain the past couple week.

    • @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans
      @OutdoorsWithTheMorgans  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that as well before but I don't think it is, We had a isolated rain last week. It's not wet and muddy all the time just after rains but it did stay that way for a while. Lots of clay there as well so it doesn't soak in either
