Excellent crash course on the straddle strategy, appreciate your efforts Jim!!! Quick question on selecting the strike price - What do you recommend to select a strike price nearest to the last price of the stock or select a delta neutral strike price. Because the nearest strike price may not always be the delta neutral strike price, hence the question.

How to defend multi strike short straddles when volatility increases??

So.. when is a good time to take go-inverted or other decision.. I mean end of day result or some auspicious time in a day 😀.. I have taken decisions when spot at break even only to see it reverse and come back in the profit zone had I not done any adjustments and some times it makes an ass of me bu continuing it's movement when I don't do adjustments and some times the change in direction is too fast n furious that adjustments or quitting if not done within 15min the losses r huge
Keeping an iron fly has helped but it reduces the break even range then

Doing this as a covered straddle, If VZ is at 52.72 and i place SELL -1 STRADDLE VZ 100 (Weeklys) 7 JAN 22 53 CALL/PUT @1.45 LMT what happens at expiration if VZ hits 53.2?
