Your right when you thought that it was all the leaders or soloist/directors for The Cure, girl in Hot n Cold was Red Velvet's main dancer/lead vocalist so you seen her before at concert you went to. Yes there is a free concert on youtube and other sites on Jan 1st (midday korean time iirc) and last year they concert was replayed once or twice and the stages uploaded later.

Oh, it came as a surprise to me that you didn't know Seulgi. She is so much down your lane in terms of talent, both in dance and vocals. You would absolutely LOVE her. She is the Lead Vocal and Main Dancer in Red Velvet and also a soloist, she debuted with her own album in 2022. She is the one that did the low register note at 14:06 and the clean high not at 16:14 she is regarded as an ACE in SM, because she is so damn good at everything. You would LOVE her and Red Velvet's music so much!

Changmin is from TVXQ who are probably the most talented idol group ever created if you want to hear amazing vocal live from 2nd gen kpop then listen to them when they were five and you will understand how much talent they had.

Actually The Cure is a song between all of the leaders of SMs groups! The only thing that would've been the cherry on top for me is if Baekhyun (as the leader of SuperM) could've been in this line up (darn military), as well as Victoria as the leader of f(x).

Oh how I wish we had the f(x) members involved in these collab albums. I miss them so much.
The leader of GOT The Beat is Taeyeon, not Queen BoA.
But, BoA and Kangta are both SM Directors, so they basically are the leaders for all artists in the company.
Heejun was the leader, Kangta was not the leader of h.o.t, why does everyone think that? 😂😂 Is it because he was the main vocal? Kangta is the second youngest member of h.o.t and sm usually has one of the older members as a leader
The reason we have a choreo/live stage to Zoo is because of Taeyong. He decided it was too good a track not to have its own dance. He made the choreo with friend and prolific kpop choreographer Bada Lee (she also worked on Hot and Cold). As soon as they dropped a little dance practice on IG, it went viral as a dance challenge.
The highlight of SMTown concerts (they started back in 2007/2008 right when I was getting into kpop) for me has always been the new combinations and collabs between generations. And they seriously just keep getting better and better. I think SM knows that we love the collabs and it's a great way to delve into all the artists and grow fanbases too.

Changmin is the main vocalist and youngest member of TVXQ who debuted in 2003 at 15 years old. The day after Christmas was TVXQ's 19th anniversary. They are SM's most senior group that is still active, but U-Know and Changmin are still younger than, or the same age as, many of the members of the legendary groups who came after them within their generation. (Just for reference, Super Junior debuted in 2005.) Most of the members of Super Junior and all the members of TVXQ trained together, so they are all really close.
Changmin is known for his powerful high notes (even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO), he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. He is best friends with Kyuhyun from Super Junior and Minho from SHINee. Xiumin from EXO is such a big fanboy of his that he says TVXQ is the reason why he wanted to audition for SM. (Fun fact: Changmin got married in 2020 and he just became a father to a boy in October.)
Taeyeon is the leader and main vocalist of Girls' Generation,who debuted in 2007. She is considered one of the best female vocalists in Korea and is one of the most popular female solo artists as well.
Winter is a lead vocalist, lead dancer and the visual of aespa. She is one of Yoo YoungJin's most prized students because of her impressive vocal style and abilities. Yoo YoungJin -- who is an SM singer, songwriter and main producer, who was one of the first few artists signed under SM way back in the early '90s -- is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse company, because he has been a vocal coach for a lot of SM's artists and he has produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs.

As you are discovering, SMTown concerts are extra fun because it's a great way to see all of SM's groups and artists all at one concert. Normally each group or artist will perform 2 or 3 of their most iconic or newest songs, etc. and then we also get unique collaboration performances with members from different groups like you just saw. You can hear even more great collaborations if you listen to the "2022 Winter SMTown: SMCU Palace" album. SMTown collaboration performances are often performances that you will never see anywhere else, so it makes for an extra fun element to these concerts. SMTown concerts are usually held every year and they are often part of a tour, so they are held at several different places around the world, giving fans a chance to see SM artists traveling together.

This album is giving! My fave tracks are Priority, Time After Time and Happier.
Max Changmin, is the maknae in TVXQ and his belts can give others a run for their money haha. TVXQ (OT5) was formed as an acapella group and SM picked the best trainees back then to form this dream team. Max is also best friends with Kyuhyun from Suju, who is a fantastic vocalist too!
I hope you get to do deep dive into SM artists because they are insanely talented and such a shame if they go unnoticed!

I also loved Time After Time, Good To Be Alive, Jet (even though I wish Giselle would have gotten more lines in that one), and of course, Beautiful Christmas! Right now I'm just waiting for the SMCU Palace online concert to start in a couple of hours.

Forever 1 is the most exciting GG cb for me
I was wainting for their cb on 5th Oct from a month ago and I was counting the days
On 5th october , i was changing my phone with a new one and I was very busy the whole day finding good 2nd hand phone and finally i got the phone
As soon as , i got to home and I open yt and listen GG cb song and I was really amazed by how good their song is and I immediately notice how good my new phone speaker is and I played the song at max volume
That day is really meaningful for me ( getting my dream phone ( S21ultra ) and listing GG cb which i waited so long )

A lot of people gave Giselle a hard time bc of this collaboration. They put her down by comparing her to the other members.
Now I know Taeyong did work on this choreography and he did amazing like usual but I do wish he made her moments more stronger. Like you said it would have been cool if she was given a solo dance moment in the middle instead of just a pose. She’s the only girl on this song so of course something is gonna feel uneven but that’s why you give the odd thing more presence. I’m not saying this was all on Taeyong bc I do feel like if you have a solo moment that doesn’t really have any dancing involved, you gotta use that stage presence & face to make up for it. So I think Giselle should have taken that opportunity by doing so even more than what she was doing.
BESIDES ALL THAT!! I really love the Zoo stage and I think the perfect people were put together for it no matter the lil details.
Giselle was in the middle of a hate train at that time and a lot of nctzens were giving her sh*t for even being on Zoo with their faves. She also didn't get any collabs unlike the other 3 aespa members, until Taeyong invited her on Zoo. She herself expressed her disappointment in SM with the lack of lines and collabs she got. She deserves better

Giselle is a bit of an awkward dancer, she's great and has wonderful charisma and always gives 100% but that's probably why she didn't get much more on her focus parts in Zoo
and for that exact performance they didn’t have much time to practice, but now i think she’s better and more confident too
She's not an awkward dancer as she was doing great during Black Mamba, she just lost a lot of confidence because of the hate train she got. She's now improved a lot. She was never a bad dancer, just a confidence problem.
For ZOO Giselle the girl did have more choreo based on the Zoo dance practice with the dancers+ Taeyong/Bada who are the the choreographers but they all learned it last minute because the song wasn't gonna have a choreo Taeyong pushed for it and arranged to choreo it with Bada so there wasn't much time. And Giselle isn't really a main dancer and she got some criticism for that same reason u gave especially when ppl saw she had more moves based off the dance practice. But she still kept up and did well considering the timing

If you want to understand this song better, you should check out the official MV. The song includes all of the leaders of SM's groups. The only thing that would have made this even better was if EXO's Baekhyun was able to participate as the leader of SuperM (unfortunately, he is currently in the military) and if Victoria as the leader of F(X) was still an SM artist.

Zoo is so fun and I agree about Giselle. They kinda short changed her but she still did well. It's not easy with the NCT boys' charisma.
Priority was such a unfair vocal flex. SM is SO wrong for it 😂. Max is part of the great TVXQ (late 1st gen and ongoing) and it can't be understated how good he is vocally. Easily a for blueprint SM male vocalists which says a lot because we know about SM vocals. He's ridiculous and TVXQ would be great to get to know when/if you have time. Hot & Cold is so cute and I love how much Jeno gets showcased lately. I'm so surprised by Karina's vocals because I'm not super familiar with Aespa but I'm always impressed with her especially with holding space with Ms. Seulgi.

Yayy first video im watching in 2023! Also, just finished watching the zoo reaction and I’m guessing the reason why Giselle(the girl) didn’t get a stronger dance moment in the centre is because she’s the only one in that group without a ‘main’ or ‘lead’ dancer position-also maybe because she was fairly new when it was released. Thats my guess at least. Nonetheless they all killed it!
Also, priority is my favourite song on the whole album. Can’t go wrong with that lineup!
