I don't know much about yachts, but that is one of the most beautiful ships I've ever seen. Whoever did the restoration on this yacht really knew what they were doing. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Definitely a beauty to behold. You can tell Nick is smitten with it because his voice is so soft and he often stopped talking just to look at her. One of the best I've seen here, especially in the crew area. I hope she finds a worthy owner.
As a boat owner, the saying big hole in the water to throw money at fit well. It make no sense at all and the people who did this retro need a little financial advice. That being said she is a beautiful yacht.
That was just stunning Nick. I have always been a big fan of Feadship classic design....this comes from an era of elegance, style and good taste. You can see how much narrower boats were in those days....beautiful proportions, no gross display of wealth 'beach club'. Just fabulous carpentry/varnish work. Bigger definitely NOT better. How proud would you be of a ship like this? The crew mess was amazing, and the integration of modern MFD's all over the boat was reassurance that the boat is all up-to-date. Reminds me of the Burton/Taylor days, when good taste was all and celebrity meant something rather different to today. The sad thing is that when mooring in port - with the Med's 'stern to' obsession, this beauty is likely to have modern 'skyscraper' motor yachts either side dwarfing her and covering-up her magnificence. A boat of this size is not my dream, but I find myself yearning for her!
As many others, I am amazed that this beauty had a $20M refurbishment, but is priced at less than $7M? Wow!! And seriously, this has to be one of the most beautiful ships you have done so far. I love it!! The marriage between old and new is just perfectly done, amazing!
This is a yacht that oozes nostalgia and a shear delight to behold. Feadship is without a doubt the cats meow of yachts. Thank you Nick for such a wonderful tour.
To all the 20M refit and 6.2M selling cost. There is an interesting article on superyacht times. Here is an excerpt: "Blue, as she was then called, had an unfortunate history of ownership, with her last two owners, one after the other, having poured their hearts and souls into her restoration, but having both sadly passed away before she was complete. In fact, it is estimated that combined they spent in excess of $20,000,000 stripping her down and restoring her to better than new condition, an extraordinary cost for a yacht of some 31-metres."
I was thinking about that and came to the conclusion that maybe it's like owning an exotic car: the money spent on it will most likely never be recouped. Thanks for the contribution 👍
Thank you Nick for sharing this absolutely beautiful ship with us. She is 54 years old and I know because I am same age. If I had the money I would buy her, but this video is 3 months old now and I'm sure she's been sold after this video went out. This is the perfect boat and I am in love with it. Beautiful craftsmanship and quality of wood and everything just shines. Floors and walls are awesome to look at. I love real wood and this boat definitely has been blessed with alot of it. I hope whoever did buy her respects and takes great care of her. I'm surprised tho about price tag, 20 million refit, an being listed for 6.2 million. Must be a huge mistake. This is by far the nicest boat I've ever seen in my life. This is a 30 million dollar yacht for sure.
She is a born-again classic. This is not a "party boat" but an actual step back in time to the elegance that once was "yachting". Good to see someone has found a way to bring one of these fine old ladies up to date without losing their charm. Too often we see these classic yachts in less than optimal condition. This isn't a boat you own, it is a work of art you are privileged to preserve and enjoy. One can imagine dining in white dinner jackets and cocktail dresses in the Caribbean.
It's been a year since I watched this video the last time and I missed it so much I had to revisit her again because I have missed her. I'm 55 years old now and if I could make only two wishes, I would say with my first wish, I wish that I could afford to own her, and my second wish has to be, I wish I could have a special lady to live my life together with her on this beautiful boat with us together to travel to every place her heart desires and live our lives together till the end of our natural days. I hope and pray for my two wishes to come true one day, I would love to see a beautiful Christmas tree set up in that beautiful living room just left of the tv with lights on the tree and gifts under it for our children and grandchildren, and not forgetting about the perfect gift for my very special lady I hope one day to meet her and be together forever. I truly love this yacht and it's still timeless today on June 6th 2024.
Wow , I love this older yacht . They had to have Spent a lot of money and Love on this ship to have it look brand New Again . Especially with all new Electronics Everywhere .And Nick you have given this Ship a great Tour around this boat which is the Very Best . Nick , You Can't be any better at Showing us this Classic Yacht . It's Sure Worth the $6.2 million .Its a Fair Price .!!
My favorite era of Feadships. I fell in love with this ship when it was named Prosit (and her slightly longer sister Prosit II) when I saw a picture of it in "Cruising World" magazine. Either of them would be my dream yacht.
Another beautiful older Lady of the Sea, magical Nick more pleased of the lovely heritage ladies. She modern but it shows the heritage of the more modern super boats.
I loved this yacht for some reason. I called it classic elegance. The door handles did it for me. It's a boat that still needed a few upgrades in my opinion with the AV systems, but it was a nice yacht. A REAL gentleman cruiser
One of the best builders of all time. I love Feadship yachts. I love how when you are on the decks the steel sides and supports stand out. A truly beautiful yacht. Its amazing how long they can last when taken care of. Thanks Nick
Hi Nick, And what a show you bring us this time? Wauw a Feadship from 1969 and it is beautiful they did a good restoration on this ship I am imprest great salon the nice wood everywhere I love the diningroom beautiful the bridge with that old stering wheel great but also the fly bridge/boatdeck with that david system original Thank You Nick that is a great show on Superyacht Sunday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am a Navy veteran (sonartech/advanced electronics field) and a retired Army 1SG (prime power production). I was hired by Detroit Diesel six months prior to retirement, as a field service technician. I worked aboard many M/Y’s and Super Yachts from Greg Norman’s to Jimmy Dean’s as well as the yacht that was in Goldeneye. Also worked on the STARS (soot-trap and regeneration system from Alaska Diesel Electric), which is like a huge catalytic converter system that prevents the black diesel soot from damaging the multimillion dollar paint jobs. Besides marine propulsion and marine generators I worked on hundreds of large to very large land based generators and switch gear from repairs to initial setup and on-site testing. This really is a beautiful yacht. Classic and sexy lines…compared to the insanely ugly yachts of the Russian oligarchs. ✌️👊🤙
Feadship is a name I have not heard in a while but I recall looking at many of their exquisite crafts when I subscribed to Showboats International magazine as a young man. The traditional woodwork and layout definitely take you back to a more formal time when you would get dressed in your best to come to that beautiful dining room for a meal. Thank you for bringing this wonderful yacht to us, Nick. And a massive thank you to whomever invested in the refit and brought this wonderful ship up to date while keeping all her style and beauty.
Wow, just wow! A perfect blend of old and new. To use a Nick phrase, “Absolutely spectacular”. My favorite of all the ships you’ve done. Love the crew quarters and the flow of the entire ship. Thank you for another wonderful walk through Sir.
Thanks so much Nick! Wow! What a refit! I'm running out of superlatives to describe your excellent reviews. This boat clearly stands out as one of your best refits ever.... after all, they spent enough money...
Well I think we all know whats going to be near the top of your Top 10 super yachts of 2023. She's just stunning and the modernisation is seamless. And well, those have to be the nicest crew quarters on any vessel you've ever toured. Thanks Nick.
Just incredible... what a fabulous and beautiful yacht. Some people have an eye for gorgeous design, quality and pure class that adds a richness to life for those who build, experience and just admire them. Exquisite... and $20m very well spent to leave such a fantastic legacy.
These tours you do of the older yachts are always my favourites, I must have watched the video you made of Spada 30 times - you really can’t beat the classics.
Didn’t win the mega millions but maybe next time. Every time you show a new yacht I want to buy it. Your knowledge of yachts and the way you show them keeps me coming back for more. Thank you for introducing me to the world of yachting.
She probably looks better now than when she was first built. The blend of subtle decor and new tech works brilliantly (although - only my opinion - the gold fittings in the heads is a lapse in taste!). I really love that this huge boat is only designed for six passengers, and they're looked after by 5 crew!
Pronounced “Fed” Ship……. It’s an absolute classic. Gorgeous. Reminds me of a classic 13’ Whaler with the mahogany wood, albeit much larger. 06:50 no cigar, just a fine single malt ……. 15:35 Nick, you’d never put a RIB on that. Only a proper Whaler would do. Looks are everything.
I am in awe of the cabinet craft & attention to detail. It may not be to everybody's taste; however, nothing is lost on this beautiful lady. The finish is flawless & the refit remains sympathetic to what has come before. Thank you once again for posting such a wonderful video.
Absolutely beautiful. Lots of stunning woodwork that perfectly matches the design of the ship. I can see why you were so enamored. Thanks for the tour!
Stunning yacht without a doubt. The perfect example of old style with modern updates. I'd wager the owners of this yacht can't help themselves admiring it at every opportunity, I know I would.
Absolutely stunning boat, all the class blended with modern touches. You could pick up the emotion in your voice at the end of the filming. Thank you for bringing this one to the viewers 😊
If I had the money - which I don't - I would always choose a Feadship classic over virtually all of the modern boats. A beautiful yacht, with the legs to take you wherever your heart desires. Timeless, class will always out
OMG: 6 guests and 5 crew in this lovely yacht, amazing. The true jewel on this wonder must be the dining salon with intimate, classic "hygge" and luxoury. The upper deck is sooo ready for an unhinged cocktail party😁
Usually on those kind of boats from that time period, you'd find a set of Detroit Diesels in the engine room, maybe some V-12's or V-16's and they would be able to hear the boat coming for miles before they could see you... probably much much more quiet now. Beautiful boat, thanks for bringing it to us, Nick! See you on the next one
This may be one of my favorites you’ve toured in a long time! So beautiful, elegant, classic, and updated! I almost feel like I should be enjoying a cocktail while watching this. It’s 5:30am where I am…but still, a cocktail sounds good! 😂
This is more my type of yacht. Not too many people underfoot overall. Well-looked after crew area makes a big difference because it keeps them happy to have their own space like that. This is a real crusing vessel and I am thankful that you showed this to us. Thank you! 🍷 Cheers!
Amazing! Coolest yacht I’ve seen in a long while. Would be super interesting to see some before and after footage. Thanks to the owner and the boatyard for showing this grand old lady the respect she deserves.
Stunning for sure. Friend of mine is a yacht captain and he has run a vessel similar back in the mid 2000's. I don't think it was a Feadship but it was a very similar floorplan and slightly smaller at 90'. It was not as "modern" as this one but very nice none the less. The wheelhouse was identical to the one in the video. I remember sitting on the couch behind the helm chair enjoying a cold beer in the cold AC on a hot Florida day as my buddy was in control of the vessel. I'm a life long boater (center console boater) so I don't get aboard anything bigger than 40' very often so it was a treat being on a true yacht whenever I had the chance. Yeah that engine room is what gets me excited. Those AC units humming away I bet it's nice and cool inside every inch of that yacht.
Anorther great tour this time of a beautiful classic yacht and one that, I think, well illustrates the joy of yacht ownership, $20 million refit, $6.2 million asking price..
Best of both worlds, but I would have opened up the kitchen and dining room into a country kitchen layout. Love the woodwork and modern systems. Stunning nick.
What a beauty! How they refitted it, the style and detail... Wonderful. A lot of boat for only six guests. Imagine the loss the owner makes selling a yacht that underwent a massive $20 million refit for $ 6,2 million...
Hello from France, it's a really beautiful yacht. And 5 crews for 6 guests, it's just ideal. When you see now, the yatch for 8, they are just 2 or 3 crews, it's ridiculous. Thank you for watch that.
Did Feadship do the refit or was it an independent ship yard? Whoever it was did a fantastic job, the woodwork is exemplary, notice the matching grains in every room.
Wow! The classiest yacht you’ve shown us yet! That has to be the most thoughtful refit ever. Perfectly blends the classic with the modern without detracting from either.
Like you Nick, I’m lost in this……. I’m all out of superlatives……… glorious, immaculate, sumptuous……. everything that attracts me to life afloat 🥳 I’m guessing the engines are mounted amidships or even farther forward, judging by their proximity to the crew domain……. Spectacular boat which, I’m afraid, knocks most modern super yachts into touch for me…… Kindly indulge yourself more often 🙂 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you Nick. You can never go wrong with a yacht from Feadship, even one that is now 54 yrs. old. I always enjoy seeing yachts with unique layouts. This yacht has been taken care of very well & modernized just the proper amount to bring it to current standards. In addition, $6.2 million for a Feadship I think is a bargain if you have the money to spend.
This'll be interesting if the first 10 seconds are any indicator.. Any chance you can get some seat time in a Botnia Targa 30.1 sir? Seems like an interesting little boat
For me this is the best Yacht you have shown us, she just flows perfectly. The look and the quality will never be beaten. Thank you.
Glad you like it! 🙂
Agreed
$20M refit?! Even if that 5-10 years ago, $6.2 million is still one heck of a bargain. What a superb ship. Well found, Nick. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, that number didn't makes much sense to me,.
But hey, refits lose 50% of their value the minute your drive it off the parking lot.
@@MesaperProductions Except on this occasion, that boat is now worth $20M! WOW!
The old saying "A boat is a hole in the water you throw money into” is no joke.
@@rockets4kids The saying goes: "A boat is a hole in the water you CONTINUALLY pour money into”.
As a boat owner, the saying big hole in the water to throw money at fit well. It make no sense at all and the people who did this retro need a little financial advice. That being said she is a beautiful yacht.

Nick, they mixed the new with the old perfectly.
You went crazy for this yacht and I think you were absolutely right to do so. It's gorgeous!

You're extremely welcome! 🙂
@S. M. Ha ha ha, you got me, I love dog's and cat's. Generally I have both, nothing like having salty dogs and a ships cat.
Looks like Alexandre Blofeld’s yacht from James Bond movie; the one released after “ Goldfinger “!
To all the 20M refit and 6.2M selling cost. There is an interesting article on superyacht times. Thanks for the update, I was wondering on the restoration cost against the selling price.
I was thinking about that and came to the conclusion that maybe it's like owning an exotic car: the money spent on it will most likely never be recouped. Thanks for the contribution 👍
This is one of the most beautiful yachts that I have seen from any era. Stunning does not begin to express my appreciation for this build!

The natural curves, colors, flow of this yacht. Wow! Yacht designers, developers, please take note. This is how it's done!
Nick, when you said stunning, you were correct. When I think of a classic yacht this is what I would have in mind.
Love this. If I was ever in the unlikely position to be in this market this is the sort of thing I would be looking for. Simply beautiful.
It’s nice to have dreams and if you’re going to dream, dream big! Carry on imaging the day you go shopping for her.

That superstructure on the starboard side was spectacular.

Quite simply, she is stunning in every regard. Thanks for the tour Nick.

Yes, it is a beautiful yacht! I love old school boats!
Stunning yacht without a doubt. The perfect example of old style with modern updates. I'd wager the owners of this yacht can't help themselves admiring it at every opportunity, I know I would.
A Feadship , what more do you have to say especially for quality and elegance. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for watching!
Perfect. The Dutch really know how to make a beautiful boat.
Absolutely stunning boat, all the class blended with modern touches. You could pick up the emotion in your voice at the end of the filming. Thank you for bringing this one to the viewers 😊

She was built with Caterpillar engines which were an option for Feadship yachts built in the 1960's and 1970's .
This boat had cat D 343 originally I know because i was the engineer.

What a beautiful boat! Another great video
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
What a beauty! How they refitted it, the style and detail... Wonderful. A lot of boat for only six guests. Imagine the loss the owner makes selling a yacht that underwent a massive $20 million refit for $ 6,2 million...
Was it just a coincidence he said “pretty” twice while the beautiful blonde was standing there at the beginning? 😂💕
Stunning yacht. The absolute best of the past and present! I could spend hours just admiring the wood work, unbelievable
For a half hour I felt wealthy, thank you sir.
You're very welcome 🙂
Wow! The classiest yacht you’ve shown us yet! That has to be the most thoughtful refit ever. Perfectly blends the classic with the modern without detracting from either.
Boat is lovely, but I am sure with a $20 million refit Nick would look very nice as well.
It's true! 😄
Like you Nick, I’m lost in this……. I’m all out of superlatives……… glorious, immaculate, sumptuous……. everything that attracts me to life afloat 🥳
I’m guessing the engines are mounted amidships or even farther forward, judging by their proximity to the crew domain…….
Spectacular boat which, I’m afraid, knocks most modern super yachts into touch for me……
Kindly indulge yourself more often 🙂
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I'll try! 😄
Excellent video Mr Burnham as always, 6.2m that’s a bargain when the refit cost 20m.
Thanks 👍
Always a pleasure to see you tour a boat, your enthusiasm is obvious.
Thank you!
Does it come with the woman in the blue dress?
Nick this is a reaaaaaal privilege for such a wonderful tour. Huuuuge hugs from Colombia
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Sometimes one word is better than many. In this case the word is...Class.
These Feedships are actually pronounced in past tense as fedships
Toured this at the same boat show . Truly magnificent.
i need a $20 million refit too!
A wonderful mix of historic yacht design and modern technology.
20 million dollar refit boat being sold for 6.2 million. Wow
The losses practically pay for themselves!
Yeah, painful. But I guess it's like used cars. You can make all improvements and refurbishments but at the end of the day it's still an old used car.
No one said it’s being sold , if the owners aren’t selling worth every dollar
Or they over paid for the refit
It wasn't refitted to sell, it was refitted to be perfect and to enjoy.
Something about an older yatch, so much more personality and charm
This'll be interesting if the first 10 seconds are any indicator..
Any chance you can get some seat time in a Botnia Targa 30.1 sir? Seems like an interesting little boat
Simply exquisite, retro classic with all mod cons. Possibly the best yacht you’ve featured so far.
First and what a nice looking boat
❤
Almost!
