When you talked about the butterflies I just remembered a recent report, where they found out that most labeled "bee-friendly-plants" in stores are sprayed with pesticides - it is such a blessing to know that you do not use them and people should be more aware about the common usage to allow them to make better choices of which nurseries to buy their plants. ❤🐞🦋🐝🌿🌻🌱🌵
I market garden and sell potted plants. The potted plants make almost as much as the produce. Thinking of modifying my hustle. Love your personality and videos bro. Upbeat with positive vibes.
For some reason we here is Sarasota have not been getting any rain. It's raining to the north up where you are and raining to the south, but seriously, it has rained maybe 3 times this summer in South Sarasota where I am. It has done a number on my garden. No idea what's going on here in my neck of the woods!
I’ve been trying to get a fruit fruit garden and vegetable but things are expensive moneys tight. Hopefully in some kind of future you’ll see multiple orders for different cherries and figs from me!!!! Keep up the amazing work!
Wish we could succeed more readily with all the Jabotica varieties & Cherry of the Rio Grande here in the Low Desert of Metro Phx ! STILL relish these great plant video's ! 😁🤗 (My Peanut Butter Tree obtained from you--maybe now 6+ yrs ago--is kickin' booty ! It flowers but has not quite fruited yet---but can take nearly full sun here...)
Wow surprised that black cloth worked. Dogs are super visual I guess. They really weren’t that bad but I know they were bothering you. So I’m glad that is better. I bet it is working against human pests too. They are super visual as well.
I just moved to Florida from Maine. I've been following you for a few years now. I'm in 9b. I've always grown a ton of hardneck garlic in Maine. What variety would you suggest for central Florida?
Impressive organization and volume of beautiful healthy plants. After several orders all the way to Commifornia--have always been happy with my GD mail order plants. (I do try to avoid extra hot weeks for shipping)
They thrive on neglect. Just needs to be cared for until roots establish. I watered mine for a few weeks when I felt it was beginning to dry and I've left them alone since. They're now like 8 ft tall lol
I'm in The Florida Native Plant Society, so I'm glad to hear you're not gonna sell the non native milkweedi anymore. Think I heard you say it's "poisonous" to butterflies or something to that effect. How so in case I can't find anything about that?
The tropical milkweed usually stays green throughout winter (longer than the native species) which supports a parasite population that would not be present on the native species since the natives would have already dropped their leaves. That parasite affects the monarch negatively. Also, the tropical milkweed is competing with the native populations and is borderline invasive. Here is a great article on the matter: www.fnps.org/assets/pdf/palmetto/Palmetto%2038-4_Milkweed_Messec.pdf
We’re the Jabos removed from the site? Also, I wonder if they can grow in pure perlite container if given enough organic fert on top and left in a saucer.
@greendreamstv I know what you mean about losing money in shipping. We run an online safety supplies store (PPE) and we lose about $3000-$4000 a year. We also use shipstation and their price went up from $29 to $49
Mr. Whats Growing on !!!!!!!!! My mom and I want to have a FoodForest on our 2 1/2 acre farm here in the central valley of california and I dont know who to contact do you have any recommendations?
I have a serious question to ask you as another exotic edibles nursery owner. If you have time could I personally email you somehow. Want not to ask you publicly. Please reach out if you have time.
I’ve never noticed any dogs barking in your videos. I really have to avoid going to your website as I want way too many plants. They always arrive in awesome condition!
That's great to hear about the native milkweed switch!!

Thank you!
Pete great work no more dogs disturbing our peace❤👌
All looks fantastic, it's really beautiful
Great variety of plants. I can't keep up with all of the varieties. Hope some day to make it to your plant nursery.
So happy to see you making the switch to native milkweed. Now do the Porterweed! 😉 That non-native stuff spreads like wildfire.
Is it possible to shop at the Green Dreams nursery in person? I’ve just moved to the area and would love to visit and buy plants.
