If you really think about it, Renounce Darkness is the highest skill deck there could possibly be. You have to know how to play every class in the game and you need to take weekly improv classes to figure out how to improvise with the cards you get given. Frankly everyone who mains renounce darkness are the best players in the game no question.

One of my favourite cards ever printed, wish they buffed it while introducing Twist
If it didn’t replace hero power, it would be perfect. I would be happy to only play renounce decks for the rest of time.

maybe a fun buff would be to have it give you an improved hero power, or make it cost 1 (bonus hilarious DH lowroll)

For about 7 years, I look in my deck for golden cards to disenchant for extra dust, and for 7 years I look at golden Renounce Darkness and think "I can't disenchant this... it makes my whole deck golden!" but I don't think I've used it in 7 years... so finally last month I disenchanted it. The only old craftable golden I have now is Doomsayer. Never giving that one up.
my favorite deck archetype, I tried using it during the first season of twist and I lost my entire deck renouncing into death knight/demon hunter so many times

I think renounce warlock might work for duels
It SUPER doesn't. Renounce is bad enough in constructed, but in duels you get less control over your deck, and you get offered whispers of the old gods buckets (which are garbo). Basically sticky fingers is your only real "good" treasure. I've tried it (I think) 5 times and my highest is 6 wins. Better way to lose gold than heroic tavern brawls.

@@hihigocat renounce darkness is inconsistent as game plan anyways, just add more draw between those 10 cards. You can also have more control tools to stabilize the early game and then play renounce darkness
Renounce Darkness is the highest skill deck in the game. It takes great skill to generate such powerful RNG and get good cards that synergize with each other. Its just a skill issue otherwise.
Renounce Darkness should be buffed by making it Rare or Common so it feels less terrible to hold in my collection.
In all seriousness I genuinely think this card could read "Start of game: draw this" and still be so bad it's unplayable as anything but a meme
