Where are you moving from? Scorpions can be tricky - if you're closer to the mountains or newer development areas, you're more likely to encounter them. You can have your house sprayed, which helps, but scorpions can still be random. Just because your neighbors have them doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the same issue.
