So you are telling me that you have no hulusi ?? (I just checked on your latest « the lick on 93 instruments ») . You should get one, I’m sure it will take you no more than … 27 seconds to master it.
Instrument maniac if you find a hulusi please make a video on it, I’m having trouble finding good videos in English

Hashigakari, c'est assez mal parti, on ne le joue plus depuis 4 ans. Et Gilgamesh, j'en ai joué deux aujourd'hui, et j'en refais deux demain, mais nous ne jouons plus que des scolaires pour les 6e ! Tu peux aller voir sur le site de l'Atelier de l'Orage les prochaines dates, mais sans sécher les cours ça va être compliqué pour toi de venir... la prochaine tournée du futur spectacle c'est dans un an, va falloir attendre !

This sounds so much better than the one I had when I was a teenager. I couldn't get the damn thing to stop playing out all three pipes at the same time... I didn't even know it could sound any different
The fact you had three working pipes is wrong to begin with - the left one is a dud and only exists for symmetry

This instrument is very easy to play, but I think it is hard to make. It is a single free-reed made of brass.

Herr Hosenmatz I have bought it in Shanghai while travelling, the price was about 20 euros. You can find the same on eBay but much more expensive !

You don't have to have big hands, the holes are very close, even on a F hulusi. I bought this one in a music shop in Shanghai, so I can't help ! You could find one on eBay
I curious about the round part of the flute, is that round part hollow or no?
Yes it is a dried pumpkin (gourd) which has been hollowed out. It helps maintaining the three pipes together and amplifies the sound since the reeds are in the gourd.
