I fully listened to the words that Wayne Maynard sung. I was truly reminded of the peace I had when I was first saved in 1966 and thru out my teen years. Facing some difficulty in life now, I truly know God is here to carry me thru. He loves me and I love Him. He blessed me with a husband, Doug, that truly loves the Lord and has always supported me. Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross and saving my soul. If anyone unsaved reads this, He will save you..just ask. Gwen Weaver
In reading the comments listed below, it seems as though some people are listening to the music, but not the MESSAGE......the whole purpose in great Southern Gospel music is not the tune, but the message that's behind the tune. If you listen to the song with your heart, theres no better message than to know that God welcomes us back no matter how far we stray....
That and I do believe this was a reunion. It's not like these guys have been together, singing & practicing. Any true southern gospel fan that followed (or knows anything) about the Kingsmen would know that their shows had absolutely NOTHING to do with performance, but for the love, honor and glory of God.
@BassSingerNC Calvin, my mother went to be with the Lord 21st of March this year but am so glad she was trusting the Lord as her Savior. God bless brother.
@TheDieselKing Nice to meet you. Please pass on to him that the Kingsmen ministry has touched lives here in New Zealand. I was blessed to be able to attend the Reunion concert at NQC 95 and will never forget it. God bless.
Ernie was there in the 80s, before that Johnny so what era are you talking about? If you are talking about Gary Shepard I agree he never fitted the Kingsmen in my opinion.
This is the worst I've ever heard the Kingsmen sound...and that's saying a lot for the Kingsmen. They'll never sound better than they did on one of the songs on their "You Ride Is On The Way" album - "He'll Be To You". Jim Hamill actually hits a Bb on the ending. I think their best stuff was in the 80s. I think they did themselves a disservice by hiring those female-sounding, high-pitched, shrill-voiced tenors that have helped them sell a lot records over the years. I think it's worth pointing out that none of tenors has ever been on a Gaither video.
There's only been 3 songs from the Kingsmen featured on the Gaithers.(the group singing) It might be a good thing not to be on there. I think they've all did okay for themselves
Josh Kemp I Definitely, conflict of interest and he's bias. Never should have been appointed Special Councel in the first place with his close friendship with coward Comey.Definitely, conflict of interest and he's bias. 14 years old and this song and performance still moves me! The spirit lives in this performance!

This song has a good message.
I have always loved it since I heard so many years ago.
Thank you Lord for the loving kindness you give us and Mercy that we are imperfect people
Ernie Phillips sounds great on this song and Wayne Maynard sings with such sincere conviction.
Child, Child................ There's comfort in closeness. Help me dear Lord to walk in this closeness every day.

WHO saved you?
both of those are outstanding but dottie and bill/gloria and dad speer just might be at the top of the list. just saying.
Just maybe those tenors did not care to sing for nothing on Gaither's show.
Awful!
