I was in the California conservation core from when I was 18 to 20 Years old way back in the 90s. These videos of you guys. I’ve been following for a couple weeks now. Now that you added this meditative music it’s just great. After watching your guises video, I have made up my mind. I am going to hike the PCT. Sometime in the next 10 years. I have some challenges, but I want to do it and that’s that. I might as well mention I live about 30 miles from the trail on the far east side of Portland. If you guys get it in some sort of situation. Contact me.
Sometimes the full beauty of the land can only be seen as u are leaving it. When u know your time in such a brutal, beautiful but magical place is over. Rest up n enjoy chaps n hollywood. This place is also where the Donner Party was hopefully able to finally find peace.
Use this dragon fly thing, a friend say it scares mosquitoes away. It bounces around while you are moving. Im trying to attach a photo but TH-cam doesn’t offer that option.
Congrats on getting to Lake Tahoe. I am watching your video from a cabin in the Mt. Laguna area at mile 43.4. We are .25 mile from the trail. We will be hiking on sacred ground tomorrow of L.C. and Hammer. Enjoy your well deserved zeros.
This video was the most magical yet! That sunrise, the trail with scraps of the previous challenges, and landing in a great house on the water at Lake Tahoe. Couldn't ask for a better close to the Sierra section map. I hope the zero days were restful and energized you for the next section.
