@@mariamartinusz9699 The part of the world I live in, the average wedding dress costs upwards of $7500. A wedding can easily cost $100,000 or more. Personally, I don’t even like weddings. I think it’s all a waste of money. I never had one. But for someone who is willing to spend such astronomical sums on a party, £150 is simply peanuts. Or she simply could have refused the dress and picked something less to her liking but within her budget. No one at the store was forcing her to buy that dress.
@@johnsarkissian5519 They were forcing her implicitly. That's the point. She claimed her budget and consultant picked the dress for her over her budget on purpose. They always do that on Emanuel's show. What part of the world are you from, where the average wedding gown costs $7500? Not the US, I guess...

Currently I live in Canada which is somewhat more restrained and reserved about flaunting wealth than its southern neighbor, but I was mainly talking about the U.S. and more specifically California where most of my family members live. The Los Angeles area is hands down the show-off capital in the world. $7500 is the lower range. These days, people are willing to waste upwards of $15,000 on a dress. If they could leave the price tag on the dress during the wedding, they probably would. I’m so proud of my nephew who also skipped wedding and reception.

I never stepped into a dress shop , my mum called her dress maker, and booked me an appointment and we made my dress much more fun as i see it in stages ❤

It's only slightly over budget. Yea sure, with alterations it will be at least 500 more if not more. YOu have to explain to them the cost of the alterations is not included in the price of the dress. It's shameful they don't do that. Misleading.
And extra for the veil, as well as shoes, jewelry, etc.
I think that would be something that goes without saying...people don't get alterations for free...
