  • I wanted to make another video on this car, as it's pretty popular. The Rogue is decent for an SUV but some others might offer better performance.

I'm 16 and just got my license so I've been whippin my moms 2019 sv which is fwd and has less power(I think). I agree with everything you've said here. My biggest gripes are the absolute lack of sound deadening while simultaneously being slow as balls, the annoyance of the cvt trying to keep your rpm constant while accelerating which also contributes to the horrendous throttle response, and the a pillars being so friggin big. I'm fine with it being slow on the straights but in turns the body roll is just insane. Additonally, I feel like the sport mode does help a little bit because I think a lot of the issue with power is the way the throttle response is mapped in the default mode. I driven a lot of relatively quick and engaging driver enthusiasts sorts of cars manual 335i, Audi S3, manual Audi S4, Audi RS3, etc . . . so I could just have bad perspective on relative suv handling since my moms is the only suv I've ever driven. Don't tell my mom but when I go on the twisty turnys I really push it sometimes, like 60, 70, 80 mph and it grips well overall. I never really find the limit of grip more like the limit of body roll before the car tips over. However, I find the suspension to be very solid over bad bumps, roads, running people over, and speed bumps but the chassis flex/body roll really limits the car imo. I should give credit where it's due though, I definitely beat on it and it never skips a beat. Additionally the infotainment is surprisingly responsive considering the first iteration of this generation was in 2014 and having the heated steering wheel can be quite pleasant. I don't think I would recommend this car. I think suvs are kinda dumb anyways when you end up with just a lifted station wagon that's slower, less aerodynamic, less stable, worse looking, more dangerous for others in an accident, and just being a general hindrance on the road visibility wise. Everyone who owns an suv could and should absolutely get a station wagon instead or if you feel like you want to be higher up get one of those vw/audi allroad type vehicles. The only exceptions for me are serious offroading and utilitarian type vehicles that are actually just trucks like the 4runner, xterra, even the brand new off road package rogue looks kinda rad. Anyways, W review, keep grinding

I have a 2019 AWD, I gotta say it being a little quicker than the FWD makes it more fun. It’s definitely a great car compared to other traffic vehicles and can be kinda fun if you lean into it
