In 2017 we did a cruise around Australia on the Sun Princess. It also went to Alotau. We just went for a walk along the shore and visited the markets. We were told that the kids get the day of school when a cruise ship arrives so that they can participate in activities like having their photo taken to make money for their family. We enjoyed the time we were there. Brian
