I had serious myocarditis this January 2023 and it was 7 weeks after a strong bout of Covid. I am mostly healed after 11 months but it has been a struggle at times. There has been a definite increase in myocarditis since Covid and the link between the virus and the vaccine well documented by established medical groups so I think you should have mentioned this as one of the causes. Before my episode I was a fit and healthy male in my 40s so to get this thing with my heart was a shock.

@@reboottherobot1964I’m sorry to hear that and I know what you’re going through. It is a worrying time and the uncertainty of it all is not good. Luckily myocarditis in most cases resolves itself with rest and recuperation. I have made almost a full recovery one year later, so be brave and hopeful and take your time with recovery. I don’t know if you will get the same but for one or two months I became very emotional. I went to counseling and this helped but watch out for this as damage to the heart seems to have a link to your emotional resilience and response.

You had covid, thats the cause

    • @zerokelvin273

Yes that's right, that's why I began my original post with.. "I had serious myocarditis this January 2023 and it was 7 weeks after a strong bout of Covid" @@SWOTHDRA my emotional state was down to the damage my heart suffered (not covid, at least not directly as first I had a strong bout of myocarditis). The doctors never confirmed covid had caused my bout of MC but it is almost definitely so, in light of the circumstances.
I am not sure if you mean that the cause of my emotional state was covid, but I am afraid I am not familiar with that symptom, at least personally. I can confirm I've had covid several times and didn't experience anything like what I had after I left the hospital after MC. My body was very weak, but it seemed also my emotional tolerance.

My uncle just got out of a 4 day stay in the hospital for heart issues. They basically had to restart his heart. Interesting that they asked him if he had a covid vaccine recently and well he sure did. Of course nothing can be proven. I also had to do a CT scan recently for chest pain and noticed the same thing was asked at the very top of my questionnaire. No, I haven't but I was very surprised to see it on there before say family history or if I was a smoker 🧐
