I have been following this story for a long time, and I have been 3 times myself to Lake Toplitzsee. As a dive and a shipwreck hunter, I find this story fascinating. There are couple of new information and interviews in this documentary which I enjoyed hearing. Gold or not in the Lake. There is a lot of history and mystery regarding Toplitz,, and on top of that, the area, mountains, and the lake itself are amazingly beautiful. Totally love it. Thanks for publishing this documentary, I really enjoyed it.

I have first hand knowledge of this gold, and I knew the person who was part of the organization who found it in the 1970's, and attempted, (unsuccessfully), to 'liberate' it.
I highly doubt she asked some SS officers what was in the heavy boxes…
The heavier boxes contained the plates used to forge the bank notes, how come no one have thought about this
If it ever existed. One of the allies found the gold and told no one because of where the gold came from.
I think your right.... it's long gone....in fact l met a chap some 30 years ago who knew of a smelter on the island of Jamaica that was build only to process gold shipped from wherever to be forwarded to the US

Even if we increase the demand (i.e. war) and make labour dirt poor, I can't think we can produce even 500 of these high tech advanced aircrafts

I retired to the Philippines and the stories of Japanese gold are as white on rice ....the fact is there are some situations where it appears gold was found or recorded but the government was immediately all over those recoveries.....l suspect much of the gold was located by the US after the war and removed as history suggests.....bits and prices do get unearthed but like the Nazie gold stories the myths and legends help disguise the fact it's mostly been found and well taken care of

Yes, and I do not say that lightly. I KNOW there is, at least I know there was in the late 1970's. I know the man who's team found it, and I know he went to jail for trying to liberate it, because he was not officially supposed to be working for the British, the Germans, The Swiss, or the Americans, but he found it first. The stoty gets muddy after his arrest, and I lost touch with him, and wasn't anxious to stay in touch after his arrest............of course.....and now, I imagine, it has disappeared. I'm not even going to watch this documentary because I am sure it is not telling the truth. It could not.
