  • If you have been frustrated with the bloom recipe I have broken this method down into a few easy steps. We will work with paints and pigments . I will show your how to blow and use the Yihoo hair dryer as well. I do two sample paintings with the paints we just made.
I believe this is an easy to follow recipe and with some practice you will have great success . I love sharing learning videos and am happy to have your feedback . Thank you to Sheleeart for the hours she put in creating this technique .

😀🥰OMG, I have to tell you I found your channel by chance 2 wks ago ( so haven't 👀all videos yet) & your cats had me rolling 🤣. I have 2 🐈 (the size of small dogs & a Husky..so..I feel ya🤣) plus I'm in Texas & with ya on the🌡. 🙄ugh, that Ultra DB. I was all over town this past weekend & it wasn't..I was 🤯 & of course employees are clueless..but🤷‍♀️ now I know. I did get the Color Place, Minwax Polycrylic & Varathane 3xThick...so, hope that is still relevant (?)🤦‍♀️😬. I have been watching videos for 6'ish months and there are SO many amazing artists, I 💘 them all but everyone has a different mix...I understand that but Wow🤪. You had the simplest recipe & instructions of anyone I've watched thus far. I just started the sheleeart course last week but work schedule has me limited on time so wknds are my small window. I'm gonna be honest I don't have "Golden" paints yet but I do have a 💩ton of Liquitex Basic, DecoArt, Artist Loft & a humble assortment of mica powders, If I have to invest more 💰in paint I'm going to have to get a 2nd job..😒 or a sugar daddy...and girl neither of the latter will leave me time to 🎨🖌. So I'm gonna have to get creative until I can get restocked. So any tips ya got I'll be taking notes. Your work is beautiful.

@@user-pz6rl1ob6g I was just wondering if you could use polycrylic instead of Jo Sanja in the pm. I ordered some Jo Sanja and am waiting on that and Ausie Floetrol also. Thanks!

You can use polycrylic although I have recently bought some liquitex high gloss varnish and am enjoying the results as well!

Thank you for our detailed helpful beginners guide. What do you use for your pillow paint now that Colorplace paint is no longer sold at Walmart? I will be watching the rest of your videos. Very helpful.

6 parrots and 5 cats? How is that a thing? You'd think after a month, You'd have 5 cats and 0 parrots.
Anyway. I like the pours. Well done.

Hi Jodi, I realize this is 9mo ago but still entirely relevant. Don’t know how I missed this one, but it’s an excellent tutorial. Another commenter was right, so many talented artists but almost as many different recipes, mostly pm’s. So I have a Frankenstein assortment atm, which can be exasperating. I intend to hit restart with the Behr 8300 and either polycrylic or JoSonja. Interesting that you use AU Flo 3:1 for white and 4:1 for black. I’m assuming because the black was a tube paint. If I’m using Amsterdam oxide black might I assume it’s a 3:1 ratio like the white?
I have 5 doggie best friends and I seem to carry dog hair with me. I just try to not make any quick movements while painting, or use a hazmat suit! I really like the fire bloom you did about a year ago. Think I’ll try that next, it was absolutely lavalicious!

Nice to come across someone in AZ because I was curious if the heat could have any effect on these pours and paints. My craft room in on my 2nd floor and the room is the warmest in the house year round. Ive been struggling a bit and took a break. But I want to give it another try. What part of AZ are you in???
