My ancestors were the Malanotti and served the Hapsburgs for centuries. The Malanotti were from the Val di Sole in what is now Italy. The other side of my family were the de Caldes. Our stemma is the same as the Hapsburg family. It has always been a curiosity if the de Caldes were related to the Hapsburgs when the stemma was changed in the 1200s. Also my 1st cousin Count Carlo Martini was head of the HRE Supreme Court and educator to the Hapsburg children of Maria Theresa.

Hungary suffered from them even before Mohacs, in fact King Loui II wife ( a Habsburg)🥺did help him to go to his grave😢 and that was the end of Historic Kingdom of Hungary and the beginning of Habsburg rule. Maria Teresa went to Pozsony begging the Hungarian Nobles to help her to win back Silesia. Crying with a baby on her arms, winning the sympathy of the men, in exchange she ordered the execution of thousands of Szekelys in Madefalva.
