Silly season has begun 🤣 Anyway, two weeks on from this what do we know? Hill confirmed to stay with WSR/MB in a BMW. Turkington is pretty much the only driver on the grid being paid by a team/manufacturer so it’s a given he’ll remain. Who will partner Turks? George Gamble a great shout having driven the BMW in the past and done pretty well. Brings budget too. Napa likely to remain as is. Rowbo brought a fair chunk of budget with Cataclean. Excelr8/BSM has renamed to Team Vertu. Expect the same lineup with Ingram, Chilton, Zelos, Halstead. Toyota Gazoo - Huff and Pearson I’d speculate. On the LKQ side of Speedworks it gets interesting. LKQ and Euro Car Parts are long term sponsors of our favourite Scotsman Aiden Moffat. They could stick with him but jump to WSR or PMR if Aiden and Speedworks don’t sort their differences. It leaves Cook being vulnerable to not being on the grid. PMR I’m going to suggest ATS, Doble and Cook if the LKQ thing folds with Speedworks. If not, no drive for Cook and it leaves a space here for Scott Sumpton or Aiden Moffat as mentioned. Restart - Smiley could be on his own. Sumpton owns his car but there’s potential that it’s now been sold to the team, leaving an opportunity for a TCR graduate. I’m thinking Callum Newsham or Jenson Brickley. (Fun fact you should mention Dave Newsham, that is Callum’s dad.) Unlimited are expanding to two cars and have had Dexter Patterson testing with them recently. So DeLeon and Patterson are my predictions here.
