Tristan, you should make a short film by yourself where you are the only actor and the only one working behind the scenes too, you should do this to show people how they could make a short film if they don’t have anyone to help them
I’ve had an idea for a different video that I think could double as this one. There’s a short film I got a little funding for back in high school that got trapped in pre-production limbo and never got made. An internalized short film that I could technically attempt all on my own. It would be an ambitious video so we will see if we have time to do it by end of the year. Will give you a shout out on it if so!
I actually don't know how to book roles or what I'm doing for that haven't looked into yet but I love and appreciate how you actually teach us to do our dream career even if it's just for fun and just to see what it's actually like. I do remember back then Finn Wolfhard just saying he used Indeed I think or Craigslist for CW and that's what I think I'd do too
When it comes to headshots, this is good to hear. I was always told that I should shut my creativity off when I shoot someone for their headshot. It's nice to know that I can put a little more into it. Great video with good advice and details!! Nice work! I really liked the graphics on this one. Even the lighting you used was interesting.... Nice Halloween reference (I actually thought he looked a bit more like Jason when he was in your background). Plus...and this is me being a Star Trek nerd....that other thing in the background is very "Borg regenerating alcove-ish"....Anyway, good stuff! Now if I can just figure out how to get rid of stage fright I can have a map on how to get things started.
Thank you, Tristan! I’m a current student attending the University of North GA, and I’m majoring in Film/Digital Media Production with a minor concentration in Theatre. I’m writing and directing my own film projects. As for being an actor, I don’t wanna be famous, but I strive to be talented. Lastly, I’m taking acting classes for my theatre minor. The Meisner acting course is amazing!
Hello my name is Cotie, first off I wanted to say thank you...thank you for creating these informative videos. 6 years ago ever since I turned 23 years old I have been trying to get into the industry. Back in 2019 I was about to get my first Agent/manager, but then my step Father got sick so I had to make the hard decision to put my dreams aside to help take care of him up untill he passed away earlier this year. Now that I have had time and been able to find my way back into my passions I want to start over again and fallow my dreams as an actor/model. I want to join your acting group as soon as I get some new headshots, and reels made. It will take time to get an Agent but I want you to know that You truly helped inspire me.
I think all of us are at some point! It takes time to learn that you only learn how to implement lessons by action. So there’s value in learning intellectually but it takes repetitions physically to cement them.
2:05 this is real for everything in life unless you have a degree lmao but even with one still "how are you supposed to book work if you've never gotten work in the past" A struggle for all youth even middle aged and a lot of elderlies lol
Thanks Tristan, I am a starting media and music composer and like to create short films, its interesting to see how much the internet helps to connect the new creatives, much appreciate your work here, even I am not planning to become an actor, it was educative to see the process and also how important it is to put yourself out there, your video inspired me to put more work out, its important we keep attracting with qualifity, glad to see a mindful creative entrepreneur, keep it up! 🎉🎉🎉
haha, the last part caught me off guard 😂. your videos are always super helpful! wish i could join the class, but im probably too young, and my parents would never let me lol. Love your videos as always!!!!!
Hi Tristan! I can’t wait to watch this video. I wanted to tell you I recently went to a performing arts college’s open day and participated in its workshops. That, believe it or not, was the first time I’ve ever acted! 🙏🏾😂 (besides for the mandatory Drama subject in secondary school 😅) It was so fun and indeed an enjoyable experience, and everyone was so friendly. And because of the overall experience, the college is my top choice to pursue acting next year! 🎭 Also, what’s your dream role? 🤔 mine’s Miles Morales 🕷️
That’s amazing congratulations! 🎉 The more you do it, the easier it’ll be each time!! 😎 I would love to play a form of Joker or a vampire one day. 🧛♂️ Maybe we will both play our dream roles one day!
Tristan i have a advice for a video in which you should talk about yourself your full story what happened and how you became an actor and i love your videos ❤❤
Hey Tristan! Thanks for all of your helpful videos! I enjoy them a lot! I was wondering if you could do a video talking about the best free and paid script writing softwares for people to use. I really want to write a script for an idea I have but have no idea what to use. I feel like this could be really helpful for a lot of people including me. Maybe also include how to write a script? This is my first time ever writing one lol. Thanks again for all you do!
This is amazing! Thank you! When you say you put your self-filmed reel that landed your first agent on talent networks, what exactly does that mean? Where did you post that, if it's okay to ask?
I am a great fan of your acting. I have a very interesting horror short movie script about a home assistant. It would be really, really great if an actor like yuo help me make this movie. If u somehow read this or if u r up, i will be EXTREMELY HAPPY! I am gonna put the same comment in all of your videos rn so you see it :)
