    You guys really do have the best videos out there! I have been watching ATBBQ for a year or so now and have learned so much about a lot of different types of cooks. Your editing is second to none. Thank you so much for everything you guys do! I am constantly referring you guys to my friends and family for recipe/product reviews. Thanks again! And may God Bless you all.

    Great video. May I ask how many racks of spareribs can you fit in the Classic Joe without using accessories? Thanks!

    Hey Chef Tom! Great video as always. Would the Classic Joe size be enough to fit a whole brisket? Or would the Big Joe be more suitable?

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Classic Joe has an 18" diameter and could fit a brisket.

    This is a great video review. Is the KJCII equivalent in size as the BGE Large?

    hey Tom, love your channel keep up the good work.... how can i smoke meat in a bbq pit made from an iron gas tank measuring 4 ft wide and 2ft deep with grill right in the middle, with a side door. If you could do a video about that, it would be very help full

  • @jackp9589
    @jackp9589 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How does this compare to the experience and final product of smoked food on the weber smokey mountain?
    Awesome job btw, my favorite TH-cam channel

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The end product will be just as good if not a bit better. This is due to a couple factors. The temp consistency will be greater in the Kamado Joe and the moisture retention will be higher.
      The other thing to think about is that the KJ will use less fuel as it is insanely efficient. Thanks for watching!

    How would this grill compare to a primo oval?I'm trying to decide between the two keep up the great work

    • @savio_Seth
      @savio_Seth 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Primo Oval is a good grill, but just like BGE it doesn't come stocked with accessories the way the KJ does. You have to pay extra for those. KJ comes with a stand, side tables, and the Divide and Conquer system. IMO, that makes it much more value than any other kamado style grill.

  • @adamjepson4177

    How does the 2 zone cooking with the divide and conquer system compare to 2 zone cooking with a primo oval or even a gas or charcoal grill? I've heard that 2 zone cooking is hard to achieve on round kamados, but I've never cooked on one so I don't know. But I'm really interested in getting one!

    Real question. I cook on a gas webber grill a few times a week. Is it plausible to replace gas grilling 100% with this? Or is the prep time to get the grill hot not doable on a busy schedule?

    • @dabigshot562
      @dabigshot562 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anthony Ulfig not doable..it takes too long to get started. Especially with lump charcoal. At least 20. To get it to 250. But if you’re talking about grilling, top vent and bottom vent wide open. 30-40 minutes. Unless u wanna go out there with your wife’s blow dryer and get the fire started faster.

      Horizontal charcoal? Like an offset smoker? If so, yes, our Texas style recipe was done on a Yoder Loaded Wichita: th-cam.com/video/K5rtd7GITlg/w-d-xo.html

    Are these upgrades available for us with the Original Joe?

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all of them, but the new firebox design should be available to you. The hinge won't be that we're aware of, and so far the other pieces have not been released individually. If they are you can be sure we'll cover them here on this channel. Thanks!

      Nutintoitbut2doit the Joe is 10x better than the egg... I agree that it doesn't make sense to get a joe if you already have an egg but if you dont the Joe is absolutely the better buy.

    The KJ’s are nice, but I’ll take the Weber Summit charcoal over one every time.

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Brines we have spent a lot of time cooking in both. The Weber is significantly less versatile for meals that require various cooking methods all at once. But the Summit Charcoal is a nice grill for sure.

  • @stizan24
    @stizan24 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why you make soup and call it stir fry. Stir fry at 700 degrees, one ingredient at a time, do the meat last and toss in the veggies for a quick roll in the juices from the meat. Hit with a LITTLE soy sause and some saseme oil right before you take it off. Serve with rice.

  • @AaronFrance

    Were you paid to make this?

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  7 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      Yes... but not by Kamado Joe. If you visit atbbq.com you'll see that we sell BBQ products. We only sell things we believe in and cook on ourselves. So the only bias is whether or not we like the product, not bias based on being bought by a company. Thanks for watching.

      I'm in a Kamado Joe FB group with 8000 members and we all said the same thing before taking a chance on the KJ........now our Weber's and other grills sit unused and rusting.......and I'm not exaggerating.
      The Weber still has its place but most of our members strictly use it for extra real-estate when hosting a large gathering or for a quick cook, as the ceramic grills take longer to heat up since they retain so much of the heat energy during preheat. There's simply nothing like it. If you're skeptical, do like I did. I bought a $300 metal Akorn Kamado first and was so impressed that I upgraded to the KJ. No regrets, it'll last me the rest of my life.
