Handwriting anything is absolutely the most cognition sharpening activities one can do. Anecdotally, it's a means of reflecting on the impressions of my own personality and psyche.
I wholeheartedly agree! Tapping on a keyboard doesn't even come close to the cognitive benefits of putting pen to paper. Studies have proved this and I think we both feel it.
