Hilarious that the first thing Mike mentions about Egypt, is their driving laws! I remember back in the day, me and my fiancee went to Egypt and visited Naama Bay. We met up with 2 other couples there and had a night out. We were all heading back to the same hotel, so decided just share a minibus that we could all fit inside of. Walking towards the taxi rank, a guy comes over asking if we needed a taxi. I explained we needed a minibus because there was 6 of us - 7 including the driver. He said "yeah, that's fine, come with me brother". He takes us to his cab. Regular, 5 seat saloon. The two other couples crammed in the back seats, while me and my fiancee got in the front passenger seat. She's sat on my knee and the belt over the two of us. The driver starts flying down the road, absolutely zero fucks given. At this point he's doing just under 120mph and I get my phone out to get a selfie because of how ridiculous it was. He grabs my arm and says "no, no, no brother..." - at which I thought he meant because he didn't want the flash or any photos to be taken of it. He then reaches into the glove compartment and pulls out his own phone and starts taking photos himself, singing and cheering asking us all to get in the photo. We're still doing nearly 120mph with 7 of us in the car... Safe to say. Not the safest cab ride. But better than any Uber I've ever had. 😂
