It's important that the establishment Dems see this though.
Even then, with all these separate accounts, they still want verification by the IDF before calling the torture and horror as war crimes. But they were not really willing to give the same consideration to the reports of the Atrocities on Oct 7 th. I’m not excusing or belittling what happened in that day, but the western news media went in and on about the atrocities committed by Hamas, without checking it with Hamas. Some of those sensational reports were proved untrue.
So one bending over backwards to get the truth approach for one country and just heresay for the other. And we wonder why we don’t watch CNN anymore. I’ve been getting my news from other sources.

Why are Israeli military people who were taken on Oct 7 called "hostages", while civilian doctors taken from Gaza are called "detainees", even in the independent (and sympathetic press)? Surely a civilian doctor taken against their will, often in a brutal and violent manner, is more of a hostage than a soldier taken from an occupying, apartheid brutal regime? My grandfather was a prisoner of war during WWII and was horrifically mistreated by the gestapo. But the horrors he faced are nothing compared to this. Those defending this and feigning offence at any comparisons need to wake up to what is going on and oppose it.

This is severely worse, it’s terrifying. Prisoners at Guantanamo were tortured with specific non-wound causing methods. Such as water boarding, sleep deprivation, loud and constant noise, cold temperatures and uncomfortable restraints. Plus the torture was only allowed for certain amounts of time before a rest period, with a doctor present checking vitals. Not justifiying Guantanamo but this is something totally different and infinitely more barbaric.

It's so exhausting hearing about these numerous atrocities, there doesn't seem to be an end to this nightmare in sight. What can be done to stop Israel's horrific abuse of the Palestinians?
What has been done with other countries long before this stage was reached... sanctions, enforced no-fly zones, peace-keeping troop deployments, regime change. There are so many things that could be done but which probably wont be done. I'm pretty sure the US will end up with a high security military port in Gaza though so even the final solution of the Palestinian problem wont be the end of the nightmares.

An Israeli doctor serving in an Israeli prison for Palestinian prisoners sent an anonymous letter to Haaretz denouncing these same things some time ago.
A part of me does feel sad for these people who have to carry out these atrocities. At least for the ones that have a conscience and heart. It must weigh heavy knowing the suffering you put people through.
