And so we know how Delores made it off DS1; Han Solo annoyed her so she went to go visit a spa. I like to imagine she got in the doorway and was about to sign in when she finds out the DS got kaboomed, therefore all leave is cancelled and there's paperwork to do for every dead personnel
This shows for Han the prospect of a swarm of stormtroopers coming through that door is not nearly as terrifying as the prospect of all that *paperwork.*
It's nice to see more from the supporting characters that never made it into the final cut of the film. As a long-serving civil servant, I identify with characters like this.
It's clear they haven't filled that vacancy for a long time. A complete lack of railings everywhere. Extendable bridges that don't activate automatically when the doors open. Just terrible.
That was hillarious! I would love to see a classic screening of the movie & be surprised to hear Delores voice coming out of the theater's speakers ... and of course her transfer shuttle leaving the Death Star before it gets destroyed. LOL

Omg yes. I've always thought of the paperwork involved in a "weapon misfire". Inquiries about who signed in the weapon last, who inspected it, how many rounds, the list goes on and on...
A few years ago I was too lazy to put on my snow boots before walking out to my car in the company parking lot. I slipped and banged my shin on the side fender of the car. But my big mistake was the next day mentioning that it happened. Yep, HR heard about it and I spent the next HOUR filling out accident reports.
