If you're listening to Gottlieb you have my sympathy. He's like a rash that tries to spread. Post his forgettable sports career, his broadcasting career, is littered with visceral, ignorant, anal retentive, bitter takes. And if you don't think he hasn't been clout chasing you don't know him, or the broadcasting media game he's been playing. He wanted Max Kellerman's job, but he wasn't and qualified. And still doesn't know what he's talking about with the current issue. As I said some of basketball TH-cam community has been all over LeBron, and J.J's antics. They've got zero love for any of them including Stephen A. They called LeBron out over this before Stephen A. To go old school, Gottlieb is in the Kool Aid, but doesn't know the flavor. Something he's been called out about before.

I rarely agree with Doug but when it comes to people in general race baiting or finding everything offensive he tells it like a man should. Too much of these sports analysts are becoming to animated with the entertainment. I prefer to listen to them less it doesn’t seem informative, that’s what I like about Colin Cowherd.

So why did Stephen A Smith have mention their race? "Black' coaches why couldn't say NBA coaches? When he says "BLACK" coaches Stephen A is interjecting RACE into a discussion that has NOTHING to do with race. Why say "black" coaches? It gives the appearance that there was something done underhanded between LeBron and JJ to undermine Darvin Ham because of HIS RACE.
There was a racial element to the reason these coaches felt a way. But it didn’t really have anything to do with white people. It wasn’t about racism as much as it was about not throwing a black coach under the bus in this specific way. It’s more of a “we have to treat our own people fairly” kinda deal. At least that’s how I see it
