Lori Animates I agree, Budgies are cute but none ever really stand out to me as super duper cute (like a cockatiel for instance) up until seeing these videos and seeing this budgies awesome colours and stuff- syrup is a beaut! No doubt about that !

My 9 year old parakeet (Can’t believe he’s already turning 9) just dips his belly in the bowl of water himself, then shakes his feathers after getting out. It’s so cute.

My Blueberry does the same thing! They are so soft and fluffy. Mango on the other hand only swims/bathes on top of the coffee table in a plastic rectangular tray of water or a round glass terrarium bowl! How old is Syrup?
That's awesome that Blueberry does the same thing. It's so nice having a good bond with your budgie. Syrup is about a year and a half right now.

Why do people bathe their birds with lettuce?
originally birds move through tufts that are still wet from dew. So basically that's how wild birds bathe. Sometimes the birds love to roll in the lettuce or herbs lol
My first budgie would ONLY bathe in lettuce leaves. Made my mom's food prep in the sink a bit complicated.
