      right. I did not celebrate my wedding even though I was able to do it. We only rent a beautiful cafe to eat with my parents and closest family and it doesn't reduce my love for my partner. I can save money and I can go on honeymoon longer after marriage😍

    I just did nikkah. Did the ceremony in my parents home. Basically no expenses apart from the clothes and gifts. I’m so happy I did it like that. No room for judgment or criticism from extended family. Made it easy and stress free for my husband and I. May Allah bless you with barakah in your marriage.

    You're so right about household!
    Wife and Husband = 50/50%
    We don't live in the Middle Ages .. now women are high educated and have jobs in high positions. We like to be independent and have our own money. I love spending my earned money on something for my husband or just on us! (holidays , electronic , gifts etc) :)
    Wife and husband moving in together , buying house together. She's not living with him.. they living together and that's a big difference :) I'm so glad you said that
    Women can do much much more than just sit at home with kids and cook, right? :)

      Just do what works best for the marriage, if it's important to the woman sure, plus it's important to compromise. Also, nothing wrong with allowing your husband to take care of you either. When kids come though, best the mother stays home to care for the kids.

    Marriage is about who you decide your going to spend the rest of your life with.
    Wake up next to, laugh, hold, respect and trust enough to able to be your most vulnerable with at all times without judgement.
    Not about the families or guest or flowers or venue that stuff can always happen and be “perfectly” organised whenever
    Will this spouse help me get to heaven or hell. This spouse be my literal other half. Ying to yang.
    Marriage is about 2 people building the eternal happiness in this world and the hear after.

    MashaAllah! And congratulations! I do agree with your decision for not having a huge wedding and just a small family party. My son and his wife did the same thing on November 16, 2019 was their Islamic wedding party at her parents house and they moved in together that same night. MashaAllah they are very happy with their decision. Same with my daughters they don't want a wedding party as well. They say it's a waste of money for something that they are not going to enjoy.
    MashaAllah, good for your decisions and May Allah blesses and protect you both and May you be happy always.
    Again congratulations to both of you. And Ramadan Kareem in advance.

    I forget how "TP" dependent people are! We were taught to have 2 small bottles of water each in a separate labeled zip-lock bag in our backpacks. One for bathroom and one for wudu if needed. I still do it! And always take a bit of TP when you leave any restroom/washroom . . . just in case. 😊

How did you guys sort of ease yourself into what values you wanted to retain? (Halal and haram when making large investments). Also, I guess each of you can answer personally, how did you deal with the expectations of living with a spouse? Ex. Jasmine did you feel like you were the one that would have to cook everyday? Dawood did you feel financially stressed? Thanks for the insight!

    MashAllah may Allah bless you both always. 🥰 Just wanted to remind you that any necklace or accessories that are worn with the intent of protection using Quran verses is invalid and also shirk, maybe you all aren't aware of it but yeah. You can just read the Quran verses on a daily basis like dhikr and adkhar for protection. 🤗

  • @zay7968
    @zay7968 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    I heard that wearing protective material is shirk. You can research it too. I think you can still wear it as long as you don’t believe wearing it will protect you. Reading protective verses definitely protects with Allah’s will but wearing it or hanging it somewhere is shirk. Wanted to share this and May Allah bless you both💕💕

    • @attabaig6848
      @attabaig6848 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You also have to remove it before you are entering the bathroom or any other dirty place. Or if you are in the middle of intercourse as well. Because of this, I think wearing it is pretty impractical since you have to remember when to take it off. Not to mention it offers no protection. :)

    This is a beautiful video. But just a reminder from a sister. You mentioned it feels good to have a “protection” referring to the pendant which had Ayatul Kursi in it. I heard from my Tawheed classes that it is a form of shirk to think that objects could protect us. Nothing is wrong if one wishes to wear a pendant that has Ayatul Kursi in it or any ayah for that matter. Or if one wishes to put up a calligraphy of any ayat as long as one intends it only as a decor or reminder of Allah. Once people hang something in their house or around their bodies thinking some sort of protection would come from it, like an amulet, it falls on the realm of shirk. Even if it is the Qur’an or an ayat from it. I pray this benefits you as it benefitted me. I used to do the same until I learned about it. Jazakumullahu khayraan and may your marriage be filled with His blessings.

    One thing we started doing after 4 years is that instead of giving each other gifts for special occasions, we try to gift each other experiences or a holiday :)
