Kwaku let me use your platform to clear this perception that Ashantis don't like schooling. That mentality is never true, if the likes of professor Adu Boahen, prof. Frimpong Boateng and so on. The list are many, if those old days we could have these great learners from Ashanti tribes, not to mention the doctors and engineers involved. We argued about this some time ago, and a certain man mention most scholars which are from Ashanti and we were shocked. Most of the people telling us that asantis people don't go to school that is lies, alot of people from asanti bekwai area are big big graduate and big positions
Pls, ur write up is false n emotionally based. Formal education started from the Cape Coast, Accra b4 moving inland so it true that it took some time b4 education penetrated inland all the way to the North. Those from the hinterlands who happened to be in the southern parts got da opportunity like Prince to have formal education earlier than those in the rural areas. So there is no shame in what he said. 🤷♀️🤷♀️That was the past, things have changed today, but fact remains that people in rural see formal education as a secondary matter to making money.
