Such a great series, you guys killed it Dirt Magazine! So cool to see Gwin ripping it on my favorite trail "Telonics" at 4:30 he gaps the giant roller! Just insane!

Go YT, put the big brands in check!
Props Dirt, you guys killed it with this series!
Great story, keep it up!
Amazing series. Thank you Dirt!!!!
This documentary pretty sums up why I think YT is the best bike brand out there. There are also others very close: Canyon, Propain, Radon... They brought top quality bikes to anyone who wants to have a good ride, without having to break their wallet. Some people don't even consider to start MTB-ing, just because they hear how much they need to pay for a decent bike. Fuck all those brands who in the last years skyrocketed the bike industry prices to some ridiculous levels and made them sort of a standard. And no, dealers vs direct sale doesn't cover those more then double prices. And anyone who went deeper in the mechanical principles of a bike knows that their marketing claims are mostly (not all) bullshit. But yes, they are mostly supported by snobs who use their bikes as a status symbol...or who try to compensate their lack of skills with an expensive bike :)) I know, not everyone :)
Even if Yt bikes are good value for money, the starting point at $2699 USD is still quite costly for a new rider.
Well at the end a bike and bike components are pieces of engineering, and engineers, and anyone in general, ask for a decent salary for their skills and time. So even if you have the most efficient design, build and sale process, you still cannot go under a certain threshold and also be a fair company.
That other company can come with even more competitive prices and similar high quality bikes, well, I just wait for that! Would be great for us, the riders.
Got myself a Canyon. Super high quality products at a fraction of a cost of what it retailed for if another brand sold it.
Ktm bikes are better spec and very cheap and capable and they sell through bike shops so they don't kill off all the local bike shops
Such a sick Episode!
Aaron Gwin is the man!
One positive aspect of the pandemic is catching up on videos from 3 years ago that I missed. YT, I see you now...
Wow I didn't know that first race entered and won!...boom!
Interesting, thank you 😊
That was rad 🤙
Very Cool to see a company work around the rider and not Say "THIS BIKE IS BEST" They Let Aaron Gwin make that decision. Plus I see in this Video, Aaron respects the company.
I wish I could be a part of a team like that. My Racing days are over, but Promoting and helping out the riders I can dial in.
First time I saw these bikes, was two came in for me to Build up in my Bike shop. For what was on the Enduro Bikes and the price of the bikes, was a great savings for a customer to look into. After dialing in the rear shock and if I can lift the bike in a wheelie, the bike had a great balance point.
The unstoppable Gwin 👏🏻👊🏻🚵🏻🤗
Can't even think of owning a YT, since there's no bike service support via bike store. Even though I liked YT's design. Anyhow. Will continue to be a fan of Aaron Gwin 🤗👊🏻
I take mine into local stores all the time and they are happy to service it. Just not warranty work, but I've never had anything go wrong that requires warranty work.
IcehawkSTI Thanks for the reply . Just worried that the cost of fixing the minor issues that may arise , will be higher as bike stores can charge how much ever they want. (Unless there's a good rapport and keep buying accessories from the store).
Love Aaron, love YT, and most of all, I FUCKING LOVE MY TUES!!! #SORRYFORPARTYING
I love my YT Capra
Gwin is incredible! But he switches manufacturers so much. Would be much cooler if he would have had loyalty from jump.
LAGUNA beach is the spot
Yt bikes are all I ride!! but they did aron gwin dirty after he got hurt they cut the yt mob dh team and aron was let go so he joined intense. Yt owes aron gwin almost everything they got as he made the tues and yt such a monster and yt a mtb household name
YT is fulling up our park in SA
is he riding 27.5 wheels?
yes
This pretty much proves bikes manufacturers and the bike itself make no difference to how fast a rider is. it's all down to the rider. yes YT made a good bike, but how can a manufacturer win its first ever race when competing against established brands? it's was all down to gwin. any person who buys a new bike thinking they're going to be faster is dellusional. you want to go faster, make yourself a better rider. don't fall for all that marketing.
sultanabran1 / a bike that fits your riding style IS faster. There is no question about it. I rode many demo bikes on my most recent vacation to Arizona / Utah and every bike I rode was over $5.000 new. I rode a Trek slash 9.9 in Sedona, a Rock Mountain Slayer in Flagstaff, a Yeti SB6 in Moab, and a Specialized Enduro 29 around Salt Lake City. I was amazed how different each of these top Brand's enduro bikes felt. They all felt amazing but some seemed to excel in different terrain and with different riding styles. The slash felt incredible on fast super gnarly stuff and stuck to the ground, but felt terrible when you truer to be more playful with it and do little gaps and hop over stuff/to a different line. Definitely my ideal race bike, but not my ideal fun afternoon ride bike. The Slayer felt the opposite. The bike didn't feel as fast through gnarly stuff and didn't smooth it out as well, but it felt very fun and capable to send huge drops and take harder hits than the slash. The differences continue with each bike. I used to have a similar mindset until I rode them.
bike manufacturers love you
Changed the game and is no longer riding the "game changer" bike...hmmmmmmmmm
