Wonder why pink gold peach doesn’t move robotically like metal Mario. Never really crossed my mind before this. I never play as her myself and personally (ignoring whatever desperate TH-camr bandwagon people cling to) she kind of feels like she’s in the same category as the babies, that being they just made her to fill the roster. I mean pink gold doesn’t even seem to be a thing (unless it was artificially colored) Pretty sure I ranted too long there but still interesting that they didn’t at least give her that unique characterization that Metal Mario has.
I'm not sure Metal and Gold Mario are meant to have robot-like movements. In my mind it's more like "statues", and Pink Gold Peach also does that. Look at her first trick, either kart or bike, she takes a pose like a statue, showing off a bit. The second trick also gives this vibe, althoigh a lot less since she stays seated. The third one though is where she really shines
one thing i dont like on MK8 tricks animations is the character does the animation at the same time the kart rotates. In MKWii the kart rotate (Kart rotates two times, 8DX is one time) and after the character does a trick animation, in 8 not, is all in the same time.
Pauline doesn't have great trick animations. Her animations look cool, but they last so long that she just weirdly snaps back to her vehicle. It's really ugly.
Yeah I know right? I noticed that too. It looks really ugly ngl. I really like Pauline and I would've liked to play as her, but after seeing her tricks, I don't wanna now. I'll stick to the princesses.

They’re technically different. Tanooki Mario jumps higher before turning into a statue in the bike animation.
